Do these 7 "political" men have any research into their past? If anyone has a wedge into their past, at least we could show those still in that they are no different than other "sinners".

Why more highly educated people are less into conspiracy theories
by Mickey mouse ini've seen discussions here about how jehovah's witnesses seem to be prone to believing conspiracy theories... https://digest.bps.org.uk/2017/04/05/why-more-highly-educated-people-are-less-into-conspiracy-theories/.
this last paragraph seems particularly relevant:.
importantly, van prooijen said his findings help make sense of why education can contribute to “a less paranoid society” even when conspiracy theories are not explicitly challenged.

One conspiracy you see every day on the news or any show that is timed, say 6 to 7, is that they conspire to play their commericials at the same time. If the channel you are watching goes to a commercial break and you go to another channel, inevitablly it will be on commercial break 9 out of 10 times.

$25,000 for one-day assembly in our area
by Bonnie_Clyde inthey started out with a $3,500 carry-over but by the end of the day they were short $25,000.
the speaker eloquently beseeched the audience to go the atm machines and give their generous contribution or at least their widow's mite.
after the sessions were over, our friend who attended walked from one end of the assembly hall and then to the other end and noticed long lines up to both machines with people who couldn't wait to run up their credit cards.

Anthony Morris - The Higher Education Broadcast
by pale.emperor inlast night i had jw broadcasting on in the background while i was working, i like to keep up to date with their crap.
which is strange because when i actually was a jw i hated reading or watching their material.. anyway, on the streaming section, anthony morris comes on screen telling me that higher education is bad and "the better the university, the greater the danger".
i never would have believed it if i hadn't seen him say it myself.

There was a quick build in south Texas in the 80,s that had to be torn down because it was unstructurly sound and was told to tear it down by the governmental authorities. To some it was a sign of the end.....

The Watchtower are Right About Blood...
by cofty in... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.
they take pride in obedience.

Once heard someone say can't get every drop of blood out of a steak. How many witnesses like a little sizzle on their Ruth Chris,s steak, its only blood.

Two (circumstantial) lines of evidence for the real motivation behind the Russian lobbying?
by doubtfull1799 in1. in bro sandersons latest video (in which he shows a very impressive skill with russian) he mentions two likely results of the imminent russian ban: the liquidation of the branch office and its assets, and the individual brothers capacity to worship freely.
no prizes for guessing which one gets mentioned first!.
2. why have the gb never attempted in the past, and are not interested in attempting now, such a letter writing campaign in other communist countries where the work is under similar restrictions, like china, or vietnam?

Wonder why they didn't have a letter writing campaign back in 2004 when they were first banned in Russia?

Watchtower/Bethelite Volunteers and US Self Employment or FICA Tax?
by EnlightenedEphesian inwith so many aging bethelites being "laid off" after years of volunteer service, what hope do they have of collecting any social security retirement?
i ask because i recently learned that my mother will not receive any government retirement benefits because she did not work enough to collect the 40 credits required.
this got me to thinking about bethel volunteers.

The sad part is the society didn't promote retirement in this system but the next system, where there will be peace and security for 1000 years, not like the Scieftologist who make you sign a vow for 1 billion years, how ridiculious...
