Cognac. If it helps to vomit just do it. I see you are very frustrated for reasons I don't know. You completely misunderstood my point. But it's ok with me. All reactions just proof that we all are different. I was happy in. I am working on being happy on my way out.

Thanks. I completely agree with you. Nugget. I expect people being "all sorts" outside org as there are all sorts in it. I just wanted to explain that it was bad to listen to lies in and to decide to go out to very similar environment. Just a technicality. Sorry Cognac I disturb your feelings. But situations I was involved with had nothing to do with abuse or lies etc. Belive or not I /we wanted to help - gullible aren't we;)
I called myself an apostate to stress that I don't agree with many orgs actions and policies. Yea. I am a simple, blunt bloke outside.

As I mentioned in another post I used to serve as an elder for 2 decades. I was involved in a number of JC. Some I dealt with are good friends now. But some became apostates😁 And my experience with them made me resentful. Reasons:
A woman cheated on her husband. She, first time, got involved with 10 years younger guy. After couple of years she - beg your forgiveness-screwed with a bloke she hardly knew in a park. Then she joined one of happy clappings and started to write to newspapers all rubbish. She gave "description " of JC. It was all lie. I know it as I Was on it. She gave all false info on reaction of her husband and children. She stated that husband robbed her although he bought her flat she wanted and gave her good lump of cash. I had 2 more situations when dfs went public to some degree. But there have never been honest picture.
Conclusion: no doubt the Orgs methods of dispensing information are, well, very questionable. But the way some fellow "apostates" omit facts or just twist them slowed down my fading process.
I don't want to offend but it is my experience.

Thank you for all comments. ToesUp you right. I don't blame or judge people. Many have all reasons to feel deeply hurt. I am really sorry for them. I try to do what Crazyguy was talking about. I study and talk with my family hoping they will make wise decisions. I may be overly cautious but I had as an elder some strange experiences but it will be another topic.

Wosaelder Once. Yea. You are right. I have been lucky so far. Just the very last boe was combination of all you mentioned. But I suffered less than many of you. So I understand.
exjw666 I guess we are on the same island ( if the picture is your reg number).
I believe it is better to give a family stability and help them to learn and think- even on a manure hip than to toss them around.
But I may be wrong. And we free to do what we think is the best. Isn't it what we all want after years of subjection?

Hello again. I didn't expect such a energetic discussion;) although I expected some angry comments. And it's ok with me. You suffer a lot you hate a lot.
I want to clarify something. I don't say my way is the best. It may be just temporary. I have never liked revolutions. The loses could be far too big.
It works for us now. I am not sure about the future. Children or rather teenagers and young adults are doing just fine. The oldest had her degree last year. I teach them to think and make their own decisions.
They know about 1925, 1975 etc. They have good friends outside.
They will do what they want.

I like your comments because you are not aggressive and there is common sense in your opinions.
I agree that JW takes a huge amount of time. Is it ok to say I combine it with a hobby? I learn foreign language so meetings, ministry, association are form of mental exercise because we are in foreign language group.
I am fortune to live in a country with good-ish welfare system, so far😃
I guess I was young enough to reorganise my life ( mid 40)..
I do agree that many policies are bad. People get hurt in the org. But we cannot change it. And people get hurt in all other churches. Stupid teachings and inhuman behaviour are everywhere.
But I am not saying I will not change my attitude. I may fizz away when kids are independent, who knows...

I know it sounds odd by I am regular in the ministry. I stress practical value of the Bible because I think its rules work. At least they do for me. So clean conscience here. Commenting can be tricky. But tonight I am going to tell briefly about archaeological findings from Jerusalem. Although I am planning to be away when we study an article encouraging children to get baptised. I don't want my son to hear overly enthusiastic answers;)

I do agree that it is hard to cope with deeply hurt feelings and it is sometimes too much to bear. My first year after being kicked off was horrible. My wife took it badly. I wanted to protect my kids. Local elders were like the inquisition. But friend in the org helped a lot. Theta are sane, good people there.
We had conversations with my wife and decided to ignore idiots and blunt theologies. We decided to stick to important values. We cherish our family ( in and out JW) and friends ( mostly in). We spend our time doing what gives us pleasure. We help those in need. We try to contribute to local community by volunteering on some projects in my village.
I have closed my doors on faces of untruths, half truths and half wits.
