Ok. This is my first thread and I am very interested to see the kinds of responses I get. My question to you all is do you beleive you have to be a member of some type of organized religion in order to have God's approval? I was raised in JW household, never baptized. My mother became inactive as a result of a divorce that left her with 5 small children to care for by herself. At first, the brothers and sisters were very supportive. I remember one moring waking up and finding boxes and boxes of food on the porch. As we stopped making it to meetings, my mom was working two jobs, they stopped coming around. At 10 years old, I believed that because the JW's stopped caring so did Jehovah. It was not until now, as am adult I realized that Jehovah never left me. When I pray, he still hears me. All my life he has been with me. I believe that. It caused me to ask myself do I have to be a part of an organization to have Jehovah's love? Not just JW's but any organized religion?

at first i thought it was a meeting place for practicing jw's but after reading many posts found that most people here have been hurt or don't see things eye to eye with the wt org.

Hi Tina
Thanks for your response. I haven't condemed this site. Not yet anyway. I just was expressing my disappointment. I thought based on the name of the site, it would be a JW site. Maybe I will ask my questions, but I'm concerned about what the responses I receive will be based on. Will they be biblical answers, honest answers based on ACTIVE membership with JW's or philosophical answers based on somebody's negative and hurtful theory of the WT society? I'll keep looking around here though. I do like to make an educated decision, which is why I was looking for a chat room to discuss my concerns in the first place. Thanks again Tina -

What in the world? Why is this site called Jehovhas-Witness.com? I was raised in the truth and never baptized. Recently, I've been thinking about going ahead and going back but I had some questions/concerns. I went on a search engine to find message boards or chat rooms that I could talk to other people who are like myself. I found this one. What a misleading name! It does seem like this site is full of disgruntled ex-jw's. Too bad. How disappointing.
