I guess I was beside myself, first having to give up jobs I had that were linked to a church, then we can't go into a church, and then finding out about the New Zealand bethel selling to a church. I then called NY, and of course the Elder I talked to had no idea what I was talking about . My friend refused to go to her daughters wedding held in a church. I have to live in secret about going to a house church, cause I'm a fader ! There might be rules and by-laws of how the permit is for each town and yes it a business transaction. But keep your nose out of my business WTBS!

by JT inyes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

My Walmart encounter with the dubs today
by poppers inyup, there were 3 of them camped out in front of the store with their display of materials - first time i've seen them there.
he said he converted 5 years ago from the presbyterians, and that he had learned more in 1 year with the jws than all his time with the presbyterians (the usual stuff, jesus died on a stake, paradise earth, etc).
he claimed he didn't know about the invisible return of jesus, he was dismissive of the impact of disfellowshipping and that people can leave with little consequence, he claimed that the romans didn't use a cross until 200 years after jesus died on the stake.

WOW!!! thats exactly how I felt. It took a couple of years to fade out. These were my steps. I stopped commenting, Removed my name from the school. Then I completely stopped going out in service. My explaination was...How can I go out and help someone, when I can't even help myself! I would start missing meetings (which pissed my husband off) AND THEN...last April I stopped all together.I had to tell my husband to not make me feel guilty about not going. I asked him do you want me to go to please you? or am I allowed to make my own decision? He stopped harrassing me . FINALLY!!!Iwas pretty messed up, as far as finally seeing what I have on videos and this site. I was like, man this Religion is messed up. I soon started drinking more, and was in denial about depression. Oh great a PILL really???? But i finally gave in and NOW I am on Welbutrin and I feel great!!! I get thru things way better. It just balanced me .

Its bad enough to be judged in the ORG. but for thoughts on something said on a blog etc. please dont judge. We all are going thru horrible crap in dealing with this crazy ORG. A little understanding OR a private message can do the trick. I'm just thankful I have this avenue to vent and get help from people who have been thru the same BS..... Just saying!

Apostate: From 279 Facebook friends to 81 overnight... thanks MOM!
by sosoconfused inthe drama continues, i log on to facebook this morning and notice that i have about 20 some odd personal messages from people calling me an apostate to they will return to me when i return to jehovah.. all of this based upon my brother informing others that i have "apostate thoughts".
my mother also encourage long-time famil friends to "unfriend" me because i have taken my stand on the side of satan... wow.
don't you just love this international brotherhood.
