Sorry I missed this one - I'm just back from Sydney last week.
There's also a brand new art exhibition at the Sydney Contemporary Art Gallery by Afghanistan/Australian artist Khadim Ali if that's your thing too.

i believe the renaming of the district conventions has already been officially announced, correct?
how about this latest change regarding dos?.
Letter was read out at the meeting here on Thursday
Cool thanks snowbird - I'd be well chuffed if I was something rare - I doubt it though.
I was actually having a discussion with someone from California who runs an animal blood bank, and there is a huge need for animal blood donations too! It never really occurred to me about that.
Apparently some animals have many more blood types than humans too and it can get really difficult finding a rare animal blood type.
Haha but you're with the evil RBS bank like me!
I've always wanted to know - how do I actually find out my blood type?
I can't really ask my parents as they would ask why, and probably wouldn't tell me if they knew why!
I'm in the UK - presumably I can ask my GP doctor?
the whole organization is going through huge and big changes.
it can be seen by names of departments, to how things function and teaches.
my questions to you is, what do you think the future changes will be, both in teaching and organizational matters?.
Interesting that you think power will actually be taken away from congregation elders. The moves recently seem to have been to de-centralise some of the responsibilties that bethel do (perhaps to make local congregations more accountable in lawsuits etc.) I'm thinking of the appointing of pioneers and MS'ses which is now done by elders at congregation level, and the branch is merely "notified".
to all congregations re: district overseers.
dear brothers:.
march 20, 2014. we are pleased to inform you of a significant decision made by the governing body that will affect the work of traveling overseers worldwide.
Totally agree - this is to fill the lack of CO's. In the few areas where there are enough CO's to go around, DO's will be moved to CO's and CO's will be re-assigned as elders to "stuggling" congregations.
as i have mentioned before, i love photography, and specially a technique called hdr.
hdr stands for high dynamic range, and it means the ratio of the "lightness" of the lightest spot in the picture to the darkest.. .

I agree with a lot of what you say about HDR. Scott Kelby wrote an article a while ago with a similar outlook. Unfortunately, non-photographers like the "Harry Potter" look, but like you I prefer the more natural look where HDR is used to "enhance" an image, not make it unrealistic.

Photomatix is one of my favourite programs for it too. I thought this was a good article on a photoshop HDR technique that allows you to create more natural looking stuff:
the pilots and crew of the missing plane, was something wrong with all of them?.
sylvia.
Interesting to hear your viewpoint Under The Radar.
You're the first person I've heard to say this of the pilot:
"I don't think he had any involvment whatsoever in the incident. Of course, I don't know what happened, but I'd be shocked if he had anything to do with it."
Every other opinion I've heard of him seems to point to him as the prime suspect.
Interesting that you also feel the media have revealed too much about what is known - nothing I've heard so far has "shocked" me or was something I didn't already strongly suspect - nothing you wouldn't know just by watching the Discovery channel?
Yes there is (non-military) equipment that can interrupt and scramble cell-phone signals within a certain radius. I'm not sure how anyone would have got such equipment past security though - it's not going to be something small enough to stick in your pocket, more like a small briefase at minimum.
That's probably one of the best theories I've heard yet UBM.
It's certainly not confirmed that it's terrorism, only that whoever was flying the plane after it lost contact "knew what they were doing" from a technical POV. That almost certainly points to the pilot. If it was terrorism, then the pilot was responsible and likely was the only one on that plane involved.
I do agree that the intelligence services know more than they have released.
