Political views no, but them being a total @$$ towards me would, and yes there are a few businesses on my cr@p list.

Would You Stop Buying A Product Because of Political Differences?
by minimus inwould you stop buying nike products because you didn’t like their politics?
conversely, would you give business to a company because you liked their political stand on a matter?
would you stop watching an entertainer because you disagree with their political perspectives?

If You Could Live In Any Era or Decade What Would It Be?
by minimus ini kind of like the 50’s and early 60’s because of the innocence and “happy days” outlook by that generation.
it seems most people were pretty innocent and real.. would you rather be living in a different era or is this century working for you?

I have a different viewpoint of that time period from listening from my parents. My mom grew up in the north (Wisconsin), and my dad grew up in the south (Texas and Oklahoma). My mom has mostly pretty good memories of her time growing up, my parents were both in the military when they met and were married in 1966.
My dad's memories from that time period were not good memories. His dad had major issues with alcoholism, and because of that, his family was homeless on several occasions. There was a lot of bad things that were going on in the past. The issue with memories of the past is that people will remember the happy and good memories while forgetting the bad and rough times.
If I could pick any Era or Decade to live it, it would be now. With the aid of the internet, it exposes things that are going on in religion to name one.

Involved(ish) with a JW Man.
by BNG-713 ini know there are several posts about witnesses and non-witnesses in regards to relationships.
i couldn’t find anything specifically that spoke to me, so i would love some third-party advice and thoughts.. i have never been someone to pursue a stranger from the internet.
earlier this year, i became friends with someone on a video game.

As we get closer to my visit, the nervousness and second thoughts are creeping in for both of us. A couple weeks ago he did have a bit Of an internal conflict. He felt as though pursuing this may hurt his God, or compromise his relationship down the line with his religion.
I will finally be meeting him, and I’m terrified.
The closer we get to the date, the further apart I feel like we are growing.
Listen to what your mind and body is telling you; nervousness, second thoughts, terrified. There is something not right, and you can feel it. I can tell you if a JW still believes in their religion it will lead to some major problems down the road for you. I can't even tell you the number of times someone has posted on this site about getting involved with a JW, only to be faced with total misery later on. JWs don't have a problem lying to those who are non-JWs, they even have a word for it and it is called Theocratic Warfare. Here is a link to more information about that subject if your interested. Fall Guy, Someone was saying why the Watchtower can't declare bankruptcy. The reason being they have assets, such as kingdom halls, assembly halls, and so on.

On A Scale of 1 to 10
by The Bethelite inwith 10 being the highest, how..... 1.honest are you.
2.humble are you.
4. happy are you.

I'm honest, but if I say 10 I would be lying. A total of 10 on honesty would not be a very likable person.
Wife to her husband, "Do these jeans make my butt look big?"
Husband to his wife, "No dear, those jeans don't make your butt look big,"
Now if the husband was being totally honest to his wife he would say, "No dear your jeans don't make your butt look big, your butt makes your butt look big." lol

The Watchtower Society want basic human rights but ''somehow'' deny disfellowshipped members theirs
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah’s witnesses imprisoned for their faith—by location.
locations where jehovah’s witnesses are put in prison, sometimes under harsh conditions, for practicing their faith and exercising basic human rights.. .
others are imprisoned for their conscientious objection to military service.. watchtower society: please don't lecture anyone on the denial of basic human rights when you take away the rights of disfellowshipped family members associating with their family and friends!.

That doesn't hold water for those who were brought in as children or born into the cult.

I'm just saying that the Watchtower cries foul when it comes to their human rights, while at the same time denying others theirs.

What are human rights?
Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.
Part of human rights is religion, but the Watchtower is denying it's former members this. Yes, you are free to choose to stay or go, but if you go you will be shunned by everyone you care about. People have a choice on who they want to associate with, BUT the Watchtower will penalize their current members if that person wants to have contact with their friend or relative who left.

I don't know if this is my best memory, but it is my favorite. When my husband and I were married, I asked a certain elder if he would like to perform the marriage vows. I asked him because he was the main reason why I had met my husband to be. He agreed. But the problem he turned a simple wedding ceremony into a very long talk. Now before you say they all do that, yes, they do, but this elder went way longer than your average JW wedding talk by the one who performs it.
For any who know me, always knows that I believe in the sweet art of revenge. One year and nine months later I was able to exact my revenge on that elder for being extremely long-winded when performing my wedding. After getting married I had moved to where my husband was living, and it came up that we were getting a new kingdom hall. I knew this brother was going to be there so I called him up and asked if he would like to stay at my home. I lived about five minutes away from the construction site. He accepted, and he brought his wife, who also happened to be a friend of mine. She wanted to catch up on old times, and also the "wonderful opportunity" of working on a building project.
Now back to my wedding, the whole thing was recorded, so I asked the elder if he would like to watch my wedding video, and he accepted. After watching the whole video he turned to his wife and asked her if he is always that long-winded when giving his talks. She said, "Yes you do dear." Then she informed him that was why their children, they had 4, were always so fidgety. He ended up apologizing to his wife about that. I don't know if he changed the way he gave his talks after that, but to see him get a small taste of what he put others through was quite funny.
