  i began my exit from the jehovah’s witness organization about 5 years.

  i was a 4th generation born-in, with all the baggage that comes with having the “spiritual heritage” attached to the group.

  i was an elder/bethelite/pioneer/whatever other useless privilege there was, i had no family or friends outside of the organization… my entire life was that org.

  paul i accidently hit dislike. forgive me I just had a medical procedure, My heart warmed to read this message from your father. I would love to get a similar message from my sister. She is 75 years as a witness, and could lose all her social life.

  Born in 68 years ago. Faded off and on until I was 40. Elders treated my son in such a nasty way I quit and never went back. Move across US and now no one cares.

  Attending a same-sex wedding

  my cousin, whom is not jw, but we have grown up together our whole lives has just gotten engaged to her same sex partner, i am very conflicted on wether i can/should attend the wedding or not.

  i am very close with my cousin and her partner and they are very understanding to our beliefs and differences as she grew up with our whole family being jw.

  some family members have already said they will definitely be attending and some definitely not attending so i just want some extra advice and guidance!

  My son is in a same-sex. Marriage 3=years ago, been together 20+ years. my advice go enjoy and show support.

  due to complex nature of cult affected individuals elder turn to cos for the curly problems.

  this is where the death of jw family takes place.

  Sorry when elders and CO get involved the s__t rolls. My husband and I suggested such action to our child quickly realized we had made the worst mistake of our lives. The good result , us, our grown children and grandchildren are no longer considered JWs. Now we have "real" lives.

  The sister Flipper mentions was very close to my family. She was wonderful woman and had a great unbelieving husband. How do I know all this, this woman's husband and my dad dropped their wives at the meeting and take me for a drive early 50s. My children grew up thinking she was another Aunt.
