  My memorial visit this year.

  so i have a jw relative now living with me so i went to the memorial this year with him since he is new to the hall and doesn't really know anyone.

  the warmth was amazing (insert sarcasm here).

  one witness couple that has been stopping by and relatively new to the area saved us seats so they talked to me, one other sister and her brother talked to me.

  So I have a JW relative now living with me so I went to the Memorial this year with him since he is new to the hall and doesn't really know anyone. The warmth was amazing (insert sarcasm here). One witness couple that has been stopping by and relatively new to the area saved us seats so they talked to me, one other sister and her brother talked to me. One elder stood at the back door and all he said to me was, "I know you". That was it.

  My relative, an active witness, has been going to this hall for about 2 months now. Other than the one family mentioned above, I don't think anyone has bothered to get to know him. It really is an unfriendly congregation.

  Just found out my friend's son is dating a witness.

  he actually is going to become a witness for this girl.

  her mom is disfellowshipped, trying to get reinstated.

  i found out from a non-witness friend of mine that my friend's son has already bought a ring for this girl and is planning on becoming a witness for her.

  He is really out there spiritually, not sure how he will do as a witness. The last time I had a conversation with him, he was Gnostic and had some really weird ideas.

He passed up Thanksgiving dinner with his family for her.

  He's a perfect candidate - out there spiritually. Two years ago he had some kind of weird acid trip and walked out to the pool (where I work) naked and said he was a child of God. I've had discussions with him before and he's definitely a good candidate for being a witness. I can see him totally accepting it hook, line and sinker. Sweet guy but definitely done too many drugs in a past lifetime.

  WOW-crazy day at work. Congrats to me???

  sharing my wild day at work today because it is 1am and i can't sleep.. i am an assistant manager at an apartment community.

  the manager has been a complete nightmare (bipolar and incompetent) so the last 10 months have been challenging to say the least.

  got to work this morning and our regional was already there which was a little strange but half expected due to something that happened last week.

  Finally getting caught up a bit but still finding stuff that previous manager didn't do, like past due invoices that never got submitted. I have a new girl starting on the 4th and a Holiday party to plan for the 13th of December. After that I can breathe a little, I hope.

  Im not sure how much longer i can take this

  i kind of snapped at my wife today...for no reason really.

  and in my frustration ive been contemplating just spilling the beans...i know its not the best idea but i do t know how much longer i can lead a double life and hide the truth.

  as i still believe in god i feel like a hypocrite.

  Only you can gauge how your wife will respond. For me, I confessed to my husband that I secretly read Ray Franz's book and told him that I didn't think it was the truth. He then told me that he had felt that way for years but didn't want to upset me so he kept pretending it was. That was about 10 years ago and we started our fade.

  Planning the xmas party-suggestions needed

  i am in charge of planning the resident xmas party (300 apartments that i manage) and about 100 to 150 residents will be there.. i already have a musician lined up but need ideas for food, theme, etc.

  $400 budget for food, etc.

  any ideas?

  Thanks Blondie for the links, definitely will help.

  We have always provided live music and the residents have come to expect it. I will be getting a petty cash check in the next few days so I will go to the Dollar Store and pick up some decorations, paper goods, etc. We already have tons of trays from past events.

  We had the same budget for a pool party over the summer and managed to pull it off, think I am going to have to get the creative juices flowing. I will probably end up making most of the food myself so I will have to pick stuff that can be made ahead of time.
