This was forwarded to me in an email. Enjoy!
Exciting new adjustments in understanding in the July 15th WT! Here is a quick summary sent to me and I wanted to share.
1 -- All anointed will be in heaven prior to Armageddon.
2 -- The inspection of the temple is adjusted from 1918 to the years between 1914-1919.
3 -- The weeping and gnashing of teeth by members of false religion is yet future... after Great Tribulation begins.
4 -- The shining of the anointed in Matt 13:43 is still future and not the same as Dan 12:3 which describes the preaching work.
5 -- The Faithful & Discreet Slave has been functioning since 1919 and today is synonymous with the Governing Body collectively.
6 -- The domestics include ALL faithful ones who are fed spiritually by the slave including the anointed, individual members of the Governing Body, and the Other Sheep.
7 -- The Reward of receiving the "belongings" is still future, when the anointed are resurrected to rule with Christ and include both earthly and heavenly belongings.
8 -- The Evil Slave at Matt 24:48-51.. Is a warning to Faithful & Discreet Slave.. The phrase... "If ever" is hypothetical. Therefore, currently, there is no "evil slave." Those who have acted like the Evil Slave in the past are considered apostate.

Who seemed to be shown more forgiveness? Men or women?
by TweetieBird inwhat has been your experience with people you knew that were reproved or disfellowshipped for adultery?
.
i always felt that the brother was treated more mercifully and excused for it, but a sister was totally demonized..

LisaRose-you hit the nail on the head and for the most part that is true. But, looking back, it really is who you are friends with on the committee that decides your fate.

What Gilead Taught ME
by AllTimeJeff inthey mean the leadership.
all of this is code for: one who is not ready to really study and accept how the leadership of jehovah's witnesses use the bible to their own self serving means.
but to be fair, jw's teach that most all of these characters refer to the leadership of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body.

Awesome quote - I always felt invisible at the meetings.
Daringhart13-don't beat yourself up...almost every elder in every congregation that I attended would do the same thing.

I am new here and need help...or just a listening ear
by Fallingaway inmy husband and i have two small children, one of which recently became an unbaptised publisher and joined the school.
my husband is an elder and firmly committed to our family and loves me deeply as i love him.
i would like to find a way for all of us to fade away as we have family in the organization that we do not want to lose.

Hi Fallingaway and welcome. I have not read all of the other comments so if someone else touched on this, I apologize.
I remember a few years ago reading a post by a brother that was able to get his whole family out. Here is the link, maybe you will find some information helpful.
You seem to have a good relationship with your husband who may be awakening to the truth about "the truth". It's a long journey ahead of you, take it slow. This is a safe place for you to come and share your feelings. Most of the people here have been where you are now so you will gets lots of advice and information.
What got me through the first few years was going to the meetings and trying to find positive, uplifting scriptures to help me through the day. What I didn't have was the guilt of never measuring up so that helped.
The last time I stepped foot in a KH was last year for the memorial (hadn't been for a couple of years prior to that). My awakening began in 1997 and I can just now admit to family members that I no longer attend meetings. Most of them do not associate or communicate with us any longer but that's okay. I have my husband and children so that is what is important to me.
Hope this helps.
