Everyone enjoys a good old-fashioned magician-hidden camera controversy. Michael Carbonaro, who stars in truTV’s, The Carbonaro Effect, was accused of creating fake clips staffed by actors and actresses, rather than by random people.The aforementioned controversy surrounds a couple videos, in which some sleuthing Reddit and YouTube users pick out clips, which appear to be fake. One of those is a prank in which Carbonaro, posing as shipping store employee, opens up a very flat box, which then reveals a bowling ball. A video, posted to YouTube, shows the original, and then displays some text, slows the video down, and posits that the sound and video don’t match up.
The video appears to be compelling, but Carbonaro responded with a video of his own. That video displays the actual footage, which shows that the patron didn’t actually see Carbonaro initially doing the prank (she was looking away). Carbonaro then quickly, without the patron noticing, closes the box, resetting the prank, waits until she turns, and then does it again (this time she notices). The evidence is conclusive and even prompted an apology to Carbonaro.
Another video, posted to Reddit, titled “Crabby Transformation,” referenced above. was also accused of being fake. A reddit user notes that a glove seems to appear and disappear in a matter of seconds. In response, another user, who claims to edit clips on the show, explains the suspicions by noting how difficult it can be to get good shots with spontaneous reactions.
While it’s probably not the desired reaction to the show for both Carbonaro and truTV, the fact that people are talking about the show, and discussing its merits, means that they’re doing something right. The show airs Wednesdays at 10.

My grandfather said something to me one day that stuck with me.
I didn't understand it very well--I did remember it.
He told me this:
"Society is a water balloon. If left to itself it has uniformity. It has symmetry. It has resilience.
But squeeze it and a corresponding bulge occurs. Any pressure on one point affects all the rest of it."
As the years have passed I have often called to mind his analogy.
It is difficult to see how big the rest of the balloon is growing when you're in the part being squeezed. -

I once listened to a discussion among newspaper editors talking about the early morning meetings with staff in which--in the office--all events are filtered before any are published.
The Editor decides what IS and ISN'T "important."
That struck me at the time.
"Oh!" Why was I surprised?
I think I know why.
I suddenly realized billions of events occur every single day and each and every one of those is important locally and individually. It is the POV of writers and publishers as to what is newsworthy, what the "meaning" is, and significance is attributed in much the manner of a Star Chamber judicial gathering.
The reader--final link in the chain--takes the result as a "given." It simply IS.

Armageddon will solve everything!Meanwhile, volunteers, medical specialists, scientists, engineers and humanitarians are busy with a different Worldview: "Why not deal with our problems?"The bottom line is clear: JW's aren't helping anybody but themselves! While the rest of humanity sees problems as a target for learning and progress by overcoming obstacles--the JW's hide in the basement waiting to be arrested by the Great Tribulation militia!
An old saying: If you're not a part of the solution you're part of the problem.
JW's are a problem. It's all about themselves--not others.
