many years ago, i noticed (like the rest of you) that the stubborn anointed.
ones seemed to be immortal.
supposedly, they had all been sealed prior.

the year is coming to a close.
perhaps it's a good time to think about some "awards" for the posters and/or items appearing on this site.
any suggestions?.
I'm not here enough to actually nominate someone but maybe I could suggest a couple of catagories.
Most conpicuous.
Most inconspicuous poster (some one who has a lot of posts but still we have no idea who they are or what they believe in.)

i just read tyydyy's post on macho men.
kent had an interesting point:.
i'd say a girl would go for a man - and then i mean someone who isn't scared shitless by a girl with brains!.
I like to take a strong, intelligent and confident woman and break her. I want her blubbering like an idiot about how much she needs me and can't live without me. I want her to ask me my opinion before everything she does. Then my work is done.

we all know the jw view of abortion before leaving but what about now?
how have your views changed?
i used to secretly cheer when i heard that women had gained more rights concerning abortions.
mommy,
But to minimize it and say it is not a child yet, is just that minimizing the whole perspectiveVery good point. I didn't think of it that way. I would have to agree that the pregnant woman should be the one to define the intent or the "life".

Mega,
Most abortions do not stop a beating heart.
My mom was pro-choice and chose to have a baby.
As long as you have an option, you have to make a choice.
Actually, I think that the morality police actually cause some abortions. If they make it too difficult for youngsters to get birth control then they have to take some responsibility for the pregnancy and the abortion.
Jan, With all due respect that thread was serveral months ago and a good many of us did not get to participate in that discussion.
Good article though.

I agree Shecky. Men don't need a say in the matter except as members of the society we live in who make up the colective concience of the community. Shouldn't the laws reflect the concience of the people?

Again it would come down to what ever your concience told you. Do you think anyone knows for sure when that point is in each individual case? I don't.

That actually was my question Mega. But I don't mind answering. If it were me pregnant I would say the same thing Shecky said. But I think that the real definition belongs to the concience of the woman.

in the "christmas" thread, aroarer asked this:.
: ...have researched christmas in a new way and have come to realize it is not as evil as wt teaches.
the real ugliness is the wt.
Farkel,
You mirrored the memories of my childhood. Thank you. Although these memories may be somewhat painfull the knowledge that these experiences are what make us who we are and that they have made us stronger offer limited comfort.

Somehow Skimmer, I don't quite agree with you that slavery and abortions are the same type of arguement.
