especially one of the elder variety, one of those guys what tell people what to do.. think about it, it just isnt natural for a man to be the head of the house .

I know I would be half the man I am today if it weren't for the whacks.....I mean prodding I get from my loving wife. If you've ever been married you know the power of a properly timed SIGH. The really smart ones let you think that you're in control. That way they don't have to take responsibility for "your" decisions.

If looks could kill.....What am I saying? They do all the time. A good looking woman can get a man to do anything she wants. Even kill. Who really is in control? Who really is the head? Who is in control when it comes to sex? And we all know that sex is what makes the world go round. (At least it makes the earth move)

Ok,....My turn!

I can't possibly comment on everything but I did want to comment on the racist comments.

I honestly believe that a lot of the people who perpetuate racism in this world are the ones complaining about it. I believe that if people would talk about the changes in discrimination and racism in a positive way it would have a more positive effect. When people complain daily about the lack of opportunity for minorities or that "African Americans" need reparations for the slavery 200 yrs ago they cause a reaction from those who are struggling themselves even thought they are not minorities.
BTW: Before anyone talks about the how bad slavery was here in the US and how we somehow are responsible for what our forefathers did, I think we need to remember that there is still slavery right in Africa. Some of the slaves that were transported from Africa to the Colonies were actually purchased from African Tribal Leaders. Imagine that.....One human hurting another for financial gain. Like that's never happened before. We can learn from the past but we can't change it or pay for it.

I dare you to call me a racist. But before you do....be prepared to define racist. Ok?

I seriously doubt that 99% of abortions are planned birth control. Many are accidents. Many learn their lessons after having to go through the pain and emotional turmoil of actually having an abortion. I have accompanied a friend to a clinic (for the record No it was not a result of anything I did) and I did not see anyone there who looked like they wanted to come back. Most were very unhappy and some had tears. This is not an easy decision for women or the men who help them. I would venture to say that if you talked to these women you would see that they feel they are doing the responsible thing for themselves and the fetus.

I happen to be a man who wants sex without having to worry about the consequences. I want sex without responsibility. I want sex without the potential need of making a commitment.

The things you mentioned although jokingly reflect a shallow view about what a woman or couple goes through when making the decision to abort.

What is the exact point of conception? Is it when the first cell splits? Is it when the sperm enters the egg? Is it when the sperm has just outrun all the rest and is about to enter the egg? Is it when a couple has sex without protection making pregnancy inevitable?

What is the value of that life at that point?

What is the purpose of sex?

How can your view of these questions affect your views on abortion?

Mega,

My stance, for what it's worth is based on MY definition of life and the value of that life. I would not impose MY definition on someone else either by a law or by making judgemental statements.

The law has to step in a some point and that should be set by the collective concience of the community and I believe that should be done by better method than the current political method used by the US.

I also believe that there cannot be an accurate collective concience without open discussions like the one we are having here.

If I were to become pregnant (science has to make some quantum leaps before that is possible) I would use my knowledge and emotions to come to that conclusion at that time.

Ok Yadirf,

Would you please tell us why it was ok for god to kill all those children living at the time of the flood. Why was it ok for all women and children to die just because they happened to live in the "promised land". If god was really concerned about how horrible their worship was then why didn't he exterminate all the other religions of the earth?

What would you think of a military leader today who told his army to invade a city or country (such as Afganistan) and kill every man woman and child? I think that every person on the face of the earth would call for his execution. What do you think we should do with GOD?
