New funny WT and Awake pics!
by greven inthis weekend i was feeling creative and since any effort to shake this nagging feeling utterly failed, i decided to do some wt covers.
the result is now before you...they are somewhat simplistic because i did them in paint(tm), i still crave paintshop but haven't been able to get hold of it as of yet..... so here they are:.

That was so funny The new Light was perfect. The one about serving where the need was greater hit a little too close to home. When I was 4 my parents decided to sell their house in Houston so they could serve where the need was greater. ARKANSAS! I lived with my parents and 3 brothers in an 8 X 40 trailer in the hills. There was no running water which meant using an outhouse. Shit, we even had an outhouse at the kingdom hall. LOL Thanks for the memories.

Geesh. I once had 3rd degree burns on 35% of my body and there's no way I would have traded with that guy. Hmmmm Makes me wonder.......LOL.........I can see him stealing the pie that his mom just baked and taking it to the bathroom. 30 seconds later there is a blood curdling scream. Then he has to show his mother so she'll take him to the hospital. Get's to the hospital, with no pant's or underwear and has to show the doctors and nurses just how stupid he's been. I can see his mom saying: " Where in the world did you ever get an idea like that?"
It hurts to think about it but then I've earned the right to laugh at pain. I wonder if anyone ate the pie.

Abandon why should I debate that with you? I don't presume to know what the attitudes of Europe are and I didn't disagree with you that:
SOME Americans DO have a problem admitting their country can be at fault. I don't know what you do to kids when they are at school, but it is effective, as patriotism is a horse of a different colour in the USA.
I lived with an Airforce officer for the first 13 years of my life who told us that if he had to choose between his family or his country he would choose his country....I KNOW some Americans are rabid patriots from first hand experience....I have also lived and associated with JW's who are the complete opposite of this....I have also lived in various states in the US and experienced first hand all the shades of gray in-between these two extremes. And that is what I feel Simon is missing....all the shades of gray....but if he feels comfortable lumping a VERY large group of people together and slapping a label on them based on media (lol the same media that apparently feeds us lies about the war) then that is his prerogative, but I do personally take offence to it as I feel that due to some of my views I am being put in that class. I therefore told him how I felt, being the loud, blunt outspoken American that I am
lol and stereotypes are stereotypes and prejudice is prejudice regardless of whether is it toward someone of a different race, gender or nationality......

Did Jesus use real wine or grape juice at the last supper?
by Robotnomore ini was talking to a friend and they said that jesus didn't use real wine because he would not put any alcohol in his body.
she said that when jesus was hanging on the cross and they offered him the pain killer and he refused proves that he wouldn't take alcohol.
so in their communion at their church they use grape juice instead of wine.

Wine is a drug! Jesus was a drug user. Even if you say he didn't drink it, he manufactured and distributed it. And don't tell me that those people at the wedding were just drinking wine because they needed something to wash down the bread. Those people were getting high and Jesus supplied the good drugs.

Actually, didn't Russel say something to the effect that an organization is a bad thing. He just wanted to print the Watchtower to spread ideas so that individuals could study, discuss and draw their own conclusions? I'm too lazy to research it so I'm drawing from my scattered memory cells. I was under the impression that Rutherford was the one who started the real organization.
