JW.ORG Now requires personal address
by AverageJoe1 inlogging on to the user area access today, there appeared a message saying that they now require a postal and physical home address to attach to your profile, with a note saying that the branch may change the details as they see fit.
this raises several questions in my mind:.
why would they need to have your physical address on file?.

@ttdtt Again your congregation domain administrators assign you the admin stuff you can see. Elders have access to most things whilst servants will only access the literature admin if they work in that department.
If you have admin access, then click the Admin tab. If you still don't see it, then maybe it's just a weird requirement here in Spain to do with the LOPD (Ley orgánica de protección de datos.)

No Carla but to access all the admin stuff you need an account which will be then approved by the domain administrators in the congregation.

Interesting conversation with a JDub regarding kingdom songs.
by joe134cd inwas out side a jdubs house while they were playing kingdom songs.
this is how the conversation went.. me: did you realize that one of their kingdom songs was a copy from the jurassic park theme song.. jdub: where did you find this.
me: hey i've got the down load to the movie, and that theme song has a striking resemblance to that song you just played.

Released today? That was released back in October of last year! It is an excellent report and is an official book (as it has an ISBN number as well). Well worth taking the time to read through. I read it and underlined it during several meetings at the KH. If it's one thing I've learned from the WTS, it's to underline well!!! :)
They ARC first released a preliminary report after the case, after which the WTS presented their rebuttal basically going against everything Geoff Jackson said at the hearing.
Then a few months back the ARC presented their final report taking into account the WTS rebuttal and this is what has provoked another hearing, due to start a week on Monday.
Here are the official links just in case you want to share them with an active JW who is freaked out by "apostate" info so they should accept this as coming from an official government legal site. The files are in PDF format.

Logging on to the user area access today, there appeared a message saying that they now require a postal and physical home address to attach to your profile, with a note saying that the Branch may change the details as they see fit. This raises several questions in my mind:
- Why would they need to have your physical address on file?
- Why would they change your address?
- Are they using this as a way to keep tabs on where individual JWs live?
- Does this not go against the Data Protection Act (as I never recall being presented with their privacy policy and being asked to accept it?
Anyone else that's still active and noticed this? Any ideas as to why they want this info?

by CitizenofEarth inhello.. i am a young 18 year old danish guy, who is a baptized jw.

They own stocks in Apple, hence all the photos of Apple products in their publications and the reason the JW Library apps works better on iOS.
I remember in one WT article that was available to download, they forgot to edit out the Apple logo (w14 15/4 page 19). I thought that was amusing as the photo looked like the sister was worshipping her Mac instead of missing her son!
Here you go (I can only find the edited one):

Obviously there is nothing as safe as your own blood or non-blood alternatives in surgery where that's an option so I would go for those options, even having my own blood stored pre-op; after all it is mine and it hasn't been "poured out on the ground" as the WTS would have us believe, but rather has been siphoned into storage!
Then there's cases like Leucemia where nothing short of a complete transplant would be needed to try and safe your life. I'd go for it in that case (even if it wasn't guaranteed to safe my life.)
