In the example of Naboth, the Israelites were used to God intervening directly so if he was allowed to live then Naboth's relatives would have known for sure that God had his reasons and not to go against them.
Today God does NOT intervene in human affairs, despite what the WTS would have you believe. That's the whole point of Satan being in control of the world, no? Therefore, when (not "if") injustices are committed by the elders, by no means should you put up with it.
Of course my comments are directed at those who still believe in God, otherwise it's just a moot point.

Newspaper article "Slamming the door on Jehovah"
by NikL ini came across this article in the australian newspaper the age.. it's a couple years old so it may have been brought to everyone's attention before but just in case.... http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/slamming-the-door-on-jehovah-20130315-2g6fo.html.

The church’s spokesman in Australia, solicitor Vincent Toole, says if the church knew of an elder committing or covering up child sexual abuse he would be removed ‘‘from serving in that capacity’’.
‘‘Witnesses abhor child abuse and consider the protection of children to be of the utmost importance,’’ he says. He also says shunning is a myth and that baptised members who drift away are not treated badly.
Shunning is a myth? Really? Well this article is 4 years old but from the ARC hearings it's plain to see that Toole is still churning out the lies!

Is JW.org unbreakable
by UnshackleTheChains ini ask this question for good reason.
let's face it, despite all the books, videos, forums, court cases, hearings, protests etc that have been exposing the society for many years.
jw.org continues to roll on almost 'it seems' unscathed.. for example, just walk into any kingdom hall there is not so much as a whisper about anything that has been exposed outside of jw land.

@JohnDavisWell if they changed them round subtly into sections like the "we don't shun people" section maybe they wouldn't notice!
Plus I have relatives that class this as a sign from God that the official site has never been hacked/messed with. At least that would put them right about that point!
They use Microsoft 365 software for their login software along with Moodle by the way.

‘I Wish We Could Do It’: Rick Wiles Praises Russia For Banning Jehovah’s Witnesses
On his “TruNews” program yesterday, End Times radio broadcaster Rick Wiles praised Russia for banning “cults” like the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
After asserting that he feels “more threatened and afraid of the CIA” than of the Russians, Wiles again insisted that “Luciferian, devil worshiping” forces within the “deep state” are working to foment a war in order to punish Russia “for breaking free of that communist tyranny that that satanic group had put on Russia.”
Wiles was also outraged that some Christians are “condemning Russia for being an anti-Christian nation that persecuted Christians” simply because it had banned the Jehovah’s Witnesses and seized the group’s churches.
“You know what the Russians did?” Wiles asked. “They banned the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Kicked them out of the country. Well, congratulations! I’m glad you did it. I wish we could do it. I wish we could get rid of all the cults in this country. We’d be better off for it.”

I would like to see someone hack the official website. If it's been done with the FBI's computers, why can't it be done with jw.org? Or do they have better security?
That would prove to most JWs that the organisation doesn't have God's backing!

What Happens If the JW Beard Policy Stumbles a Person
by Cold Steel insome of the videos on youtube really make the beard policy look ridiculous.
i wondered what would happen if the jw beard policy caused someone to stumble?
jesus most likely wore a beard, and charles taze russell had a beard.

Whatever the case, how regrettable it is when such overly sensitive ones allow themselves to be offended by trifles..."
Indeed it is. I love trifles, especially when they are made with real Sherry!

wearing a beard can b be met with a loss of privileges.
The Governing Body are such hypocrites as is evidenced by this fiasco. First of all, a beard is nothing to do with conscience at all: it's a natural part of being a male adult. It would be equally absurd to start arguing about whether going to the loo was for christians or not: it's a point of nature, end of.
Plus, their tactic of saying one thing to the public (and in this case the congregation) but doing another only goes to further highlight their hypocrisy. If, according to them, beards are OK in the country and area where they live, then why don't they allow brothers in Bethel to have them or have parts on the assembly with them? Oh look, double standards...again!

How grateful we are that Jehovah does not give us long lists of what is acceptable dress and grooming and what is not.
No, that's what we have the WTS for: they make rules where God doesn't!
