  i am 20 minutes away from a sheparding call........

  first one in at least 5 years.......wife does not want to sit in and i just told her if she does not, then i am not either.....this loss of faith thingy has really been rough on our marriage.......i have decided to not bring up a single issue i have........i will relate to them my illustration of the taxi driver who keeps giving out bad directions i posted yesterday.......i think what will surprise them maybe is that my loss of faith goes way beyond wt.......i have lost virtually faith in the bible and god......one has already told the "first place to start is to get going to the meetings again!"....lmao!!!.........

  i hope their programed brains can grasp that maybe you need faith in a god first.....then find out what method (or book) he is using to educate us if he wants to....and then if you feel the need....look around to find out if there is a group of folks who all have similar beliefs.........this should be interesting...........oompa.

  How did you feel about attending another church?

  this question is for those who have attended another church since leaving the jw's.. i have considered attending a local church, firstly out of curiosity and secondly because i do enjoy discussing the bible with people and learning new thoughts on scripture.. the only thing that stops me though is crossing that line.

  i guess it was a bit like when i first posted here, it took me ages to pluck up the courage and now what was the big deal?.

  did anyone else have this feeling before attending another church, that feeling of crossing the line of no return.

  Last Sunday i dropped a client off to a Uniting church and picked him up an hour later (no two hour sessions there thankyou).

  What struck me was the family friendly atmosphere with everyone standing around afterward enjoying cups of tea and cake.

  I'm dead set anti-big religion but I must admit, they play an important role in the creation and maintenance of strong healthy comunities (I'll just remain on the lookout for villagers marching toward my place, torches lit intent on burning pagans).

  i supposed only people who know who they are and have read, heard, or listened to them at some point can answer.

  they are fairly popular (at least on the internet) conspiracy theorists.

  (and everyone loves a good conspiracy theory!!).

  I'm pretty much in agreement with warlock.

  Alex Jones is interesting and passionate and I doubt he's a 'Jesuit CIA plant.' I wouldn't take anything these guys say as gospel (and anyway, I don't think much of gospel) but what they have to say and the things they genuinely expose are good grist for freedom's mill.

  I wrote David Ike off as 80% nutcase about 20 years ago along with Australia's Stan Devo (sp) but I've recently reviewed his work more thoroughly and found a good deal of what he says to be accurate. I've met some astounding people like this in real life and all I can say is all power to them and whatever posesses them to shake complacency and 'reality' to the core. The world needs more freaks man.

  All that swamp .. I mean wetland and not a mosquito, leach or person eating crocodile to spoil your day. Glad to see the Chinese urhu survived Jehovah's holocaust.

  Actually I'm pretty disgusted at the way the Watchtower Bible and Tract publishing empire comodifies cultural diversity and stereotypes to it's own sick agenda. White people play guitars, chinese the urhu and black folk smile like the're at a negro spiritual revival.

  The Brooklyn bible romantics taking something as beautiful and magical as ancient chinese culture and corrupting it into a girl playing kingdom melodies pisses me off. As does the exploitation of traditional dress, particularly when Christian sects including the dubs have done their level best to destroy the belief systems those cultures represent. It's extremely disrespectful and quite bizzare.
