You're a real straight shooter Tom, I 'll give ya a hug - and unlike the average JW know you won't stab me in the back ;)

I have 5 sisters who were all raised in the same bedroom - I can relate to the extreme bitchiness, hatred and outright vindictivness of the fire breathing 'dragon woman' personality type (I love my sisters dearly but in short bursts .. then again I'm lucky not to have been the victim of their bent schemes, ... I now have 12 great brothers-in-law ... and counting ;)

I've read part 2 and now part 1 ... wonder how many parts SirFRED has in 'im? Be nice if he gave us more than an occational snipet into his life - we're all ears Fred - about time you told a pioneering story.

Old Habits Die Hard

keep in mind, now, i haven't been out in field service since sometime in early 1987.. this morning i headed off out the door and down the stairs, cheerful and ready to tackle the day.

got to my ride, and realized i had forgotten to pick up the case that contains my laptop and paperwork.

so, back up the stairs, in the door.

LOL Ozzie - Yep same guy - Greek not Italian - made 'em in his shed at Payneham. Sotoropolis - how could I forget .. his neice Effy was chasing me at the time and he wanted proof I was a pioneer before making me one ;)

Roamingfeline - He made 6" wide ones for sisters it was amazing how much watchtower stuff the sisters could fit in those big bricks - they were so strong many sisters used them as seats and you'd sometimes see a group of sisters sitting on them at street corners waiting for a lift home or whatever.

BugEyesWife - Get back to those return visits! Lives could depend on it including yours - those folks are probably still eagerly awaiting your callback ;) unclebloodguilt

did anyone else get hate mail last night from a mzlee77?.

fred and you know aren't an anomaly.

my experience in jw chat rooms showed that many more of them are vindictive and just plain mean than one would expect.. i experienced some of this as a witness, but i guess with the protection of anonymity the real personality comes through.. i find it quite scary.

G'day Prisca - lol .. a westie hoon eh? ..you'll be sport'n a "90% Bitch 10% sweatheart" sticker next ... the annual Bega car rally went past my front gate Sunday morning and after a few fancy subaru wrs and mitsubishi 4wds around the corner flies an old holden commodore ... all grunt and no cornering ability ... sure sent a mud cloud skyward and I thought I caught a glimpse of a wide eyed, white knuckled navigator ... it sure was funny ... hope spings eternal in the workers! :)

Kent - I have no scanning ability - I'll make sure I have your address, iron the creases and fish stains out and send you the page snail mail. cheers ;)

LOL Cap'n,

Still having flashbacks eh? Down here they're called 'witnessing bags' I still have the thick leather bag I pioneered with in the early seventies. It was made by an Italian craftsman/brother specializing in 'witnessing bags.' He said it would last a lifetime and so far he's proved right. It survived several years on the back of a bicycle, weeks tramping through tropical jungles, dusty farms, endless boring meetings and for the last few years I used it for quoting building work and although the zipper's gone it looks as good as new.

I still go to call it my witnessing bag sometimes and the wife gives me a dirty look. You gotta admit 'bookbag' sounds less cultic than 'witnessing bag' I wonder what the pomes call 'em? ;)

Haven't you got anything better to do?

obviously a lot of you are no longer jws, for whatever reason, but surely you can find something better to do with your time.

you seem to spend a lot of your spare time slating the society or picking holes in your former beliefs.. if you've left and think what jws believe is a load of rubbish, thtat fine, you cn do what you want, but why you have to go on about it?

if being a jw means so little to you, why not just leave it behind and get on with your life?

I thought of you while typing this up - mafia type love triangles in western sydney whot next? ... 'whot' is the toffee way of writing 'wot' ;)

Yep Mum kinda murdered my older brother Dean (I've posted on it before) In short, she tried to abort him with the help of her aunts. It failed, he was born but with brain damage, he died in hospital of phnemonia aged 3. (when I was 18 months old) Mum had tremendous guilt which wasn't helped by being told she should have another son to 'get over it' (this explained mum having 3 girls after me till finally Dion was born (who turned out to be a poof - I joke that mum has 6 daughters ... my misses recons 7 ... I act like a girl sometimes too ;)

So mum became a JW because of 'the resurrection hope'. These cults have many honey pots for catching even the most cautiods of flies (as a non JW housewife, mum screamed blue murder at a brother over the 'blood issue' but 6 months later was studying the Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained book.
