my dell inspiration 8500 is dead.

dell replaced the motherboard 3 times under 3 year warranty and it died again, now out of warranty.

now i'm shopping for a new computer.

I'm becomming a geek - i understood everything said
I bought this cheap laptop a few months ago and it works like a dream ($900AU). Norton keeps the virii away and broadband makes surfing a breeze. I love the widescreen and the white keys - they're much easier to see. I love having my music loaded and photo uploading is super fast (thank gawd for plug & play). Until I can aford a massive wall screen I doubt I'll buy anything but laptops from now on .. a man's a happy boy.

i was raised a jw but as i got older i started thinking for myslef and now i am at the point where i need to figure out what i believe in.

has anyone heard of this book coming from australia?did you know; it is not an offence (by law) for a religious group to protect a paedophile in all states in australia?.

28 states in the usa do not have mandatory reporting of child abuse in religious groups.. doctors, teachers, healthcare workers and psychologists are by law required to report incidents of child sexual assault.

It's a very good book. I was outraged and cried deeply when I found a copy in the late 90's.
It's a true story of a Presiding Overseer's corruption including all too vivid accounts of him sexually abusing his daughter in the cane fields of Australia's "deep north" (Queensland).
Viki was a friend of a regular poster on the old H20 forum.

I've only just discovered the joys of broadband and You Tube so had now idea it was filmed by a fellow JWD poster.

It brings back bad memories of an emu ripping my tent to sheds from the inside and me with it ... and of emus poking thier heads in the car windows and freaking out my girls in the back ... eeeww emus .. shudder..
