I guess I have loved living so much that I hate the idea of it leaving me. Nv, it seems such a short time since I was 34. Enjoy everyday you can.

first you must have faith in something you can't prove is real.
assured expectation of something you can't see.
must talk to some god you can't see or hear.
I'm down in SC right now at my daughter's home. Will be back tomorrow I guess. Will post then.

The pastor never has mentioned the 10% contributions in the church I am attending with my wife. He doesn't mention contributions, although he does let them pass the plates at the beginning of the sermons on Sunday. I can understand the need for some money to sustain the church. I like the pastor of this church, I have been with him to visit people in the hospitals. He seems to be a sincere and honest person. He works to suport himself and his wife. She has a job too. We have had dinner together and he paid for it. He isn't after money for himself. I think he is a sincere person but that doesn't make him have the answers to life.

I was a JW for over half my life and what they taught never happened and they were supposed to be guided by special annointed men who had direct guidence from the Jehovah god. I'm attending a church now with my wife and the pastor claims he has special feelings from God that guided his sermons at times. They pray all the time for people who need special help and seem sincere in their worship. It seems more loving than the JWs but still seems just some way to cope with life and it's bad way of treating us humans at times. Most of the members are about my age and every week someone is having to go to the doctors for some kind of test or treatment. I have been very lucky so far with health issues. Sometimes I feel a little drawn to get saved when I'm there but know I really don't believe it. The bible is so controdictory in so many places. I guess I will just wait and see what death means when it comes.

First you must have faith in something you can't prove is real. Assured expectation of something you can't see. Must talk to some God you can't see or hear. Receive some holy spirit that might just be demons if you arn't careful. Give 10% of your money to God through a church. Believe in some book that was written by men you never knew and try to understand it when religions have never agreed what it says means what it says but it was written that way so some couldn't get the true meaning, except a special few that Christ chose, because narrow is the gate and few will get in.
I guess I will just roast in hell for eternity because I can't seem to understand God and why he needs so many sacrifices, including his own son.

the koran and the bible says to do the same acts of violence to anyone who worships a different god.. deuteronomy 13:6-8, it reads: "if thy brother, the son of thy mother.
or thy son, or thy daughter, or thy wife of thy bosom.
or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, let us go and serve other gods which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; (7) namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth unto the other end of the earth (8) thou shalt not consent unto him, nor harken unto him; neither shalt thou conceal him (9) but thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.
It would seem that God would be somewhat responsible for the failure of humanity to be a success. Is he really as powerful and wise as humans think? Didn't he create the devil or at least let him deceive man? Couldn't he figure out how to cure the problem rather than destroy the evidence?
I have to admit I don't know the answers of why some act of a pair of humans could screw up humanity so badly. If some are made angels does this solve the problem? They have screwed up as bad as humans, so the bible says.
If God is going to make a perfect world now, why didn't he do it in the beginning instead of all the killing and death he has instagated? I just don't understand his thinking? I've never seen two different religions agree so please show me how anyone knows who is right?

I have no knowledge of the Muslem religion except what I hear and see on the news. They seem to have no remorse for killing anyone they can if they are following their crazy leaders. Why are almost all the ones who blow themselves up in an attempt to kill as many others as they can, Muslems? Christains have about the same history during the dark ages. The Gods that religious people through history have worshiped seem to like this kind of conduct.
Most Christain religions today don't view God as requiring his followers to kill others except in times of war and it can be against other Christain nations. Of course they don't get a bunch of virgins when they get to heaven. The Muslems fight one another also, depending what tribe you belong to.
Religion can be as Rutherford stated,"A snare and a racket." Religion can also be a way to cope with life and mostly death. I attended church yeaterday with my wife and I can see how on occasions it does help people become better persons. I really think it is an emotional stimulas to try to answer the questions of life for us poor stupid humans who have no idea what life really is.

"O Prophet! Make war against the unbelievers [all non-Muslims] and the hypocrites and be merciless against them. Their home is hell, an evil refuge indeed." (Koran, 9:73)
"When you meet the unbelievers in jihad [holy war], chop off their heads. And when you have brought them low, bind your prisoners rigorously. Then set them free or take ransom from them until the war is ended." (Koran, 47:4)
"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and his messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be to be killed or crucified, or to have their hands and feet chopped off on opposite sides, or to be expelled out of the land. Such will be their humiliation in the world, and in the next world they will face an awful horror." (Koran, 5:33-34)
"When we decide to destroy a population, we send a definite order to them who have the good things in life and yet sin. So that Allah's word is proven true against them, then we destroy them utterly." (Koran, 17:16-17)
"In order that Allah may separate the pure from the impure, put all the impure ones [all non-Muslims] one on top of another in a heap and cast them into hell. They will have been the ones to have lost." (Koran, 8:37)
"How many were the populations we utterly destroyed because of their sins, setting up in their place other peoples." (Koran, 21:11)

Of course God changed when he became a man called Jesus, he said just turn the other cheek. I guess we must just dump the old testiment as it became outdated.
