  OMG! The Baptists!

  last night, around 6:00, a couple of well-dressed young men knocked at my door.

  i didn't think they were jw's, as they weren't carrying bookbags and they didn't have the "stepford jw" look.

  but, i made my hub answer the door anyway.

  Maybe they were the guys Paul Harvey talked about a few weeks ago...

  He started saying that the police in (can't remember the city) were on the lookout for "mall Baptists"... yeah, that's what he said. Then had to laugh it off and start over. Seems they were actually hunting a mall Rapist.

  On a side note, I've had several Baptists knocking about. Usually teenagers that really wanted to be doing something else (sound familiar?) or adults just handing out leaflets etc. I always want to say something about how they'll have to have a much better presentation if they want to compete with the Big Dogs of door to door. But I always refrain myself. ;(

  July 15 Watchtower article on Blood

  in the 7/15 wt i dont recall the exact page, i dont have the magazine here at work but there is a chart that lists blood, what components are up to you and which ones are not allowed at all.

  anyway its very odd because they list which ones christians should avoid from left to right, i.e.

  red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, etc.

  The sandwich idea is such a great analogy but it is only words. So, next time the chance arises, dismantle your sandwich in front of your witness friend / family member, and start eating the sandwich "fractions" one at a time. Yeah, it'll look crazy but you can explain that your doctor / priest / shaman told you that you must not eat it whole else you will certainly die. Maybe, just maybe, the point will have some impact.

  Do you make active witnesses uncomfortable?

  this weekend my wife and i visited with another couple, who although they are inactive, they also invited active witinesses to the their home along with us.

  we knew most of the people there and they are aware that we are inactive - no big deal.

  however there was one brother who did not know that were are inactive.

  but probably in her mind it is Jehovah that is protecting her from unemployment. gotta love it.

  What is Creativity?

  some people say it's their music; expression of heart and soul.. some people say it's their research; expression of their mind.. some people say it's fishing; absence of expression of anything...just living in the moment.. some people say "it's because i'm on a db, expressing myself.

  for myself: creativity is finding something where nothing was before...and then discovering that it was already discovered.

  Do you believe in psychics?

  hi there everyone, just wanted to see if any of you believe in any psychics or paranormal activity.

  i know that as a jw we are taught that any ghosts are demons and any psychic activities are demonized.

  would love to hear any feedback and or any pesonal experiences you have had and if you believe they are all demons, or if there is a difference between good and bad spirits.

  If you look at the physchic community, most are women.

  I always just figured that that is because the demonz prefer to toy with womenz energy :) Makes sense right Six?
