Well, cappytan couldn't have said it better: It is the GUARDIANS of the Doctrine of course and actually they do mention that in the letter (those cheeky fellows):

It is our understanding that this change may be unexpected. However, the Governing Body and the branch deeply appreciate your spirit of sacrifice.

So, I think it works this way. The Guardians decide "let's cut down X% of special pioneers" and then the branch says who remains and who is to be sacked.

Now, those Circuit Overseers, Bethelites and Special Pioneers that are not being terminated may want to learn something from this cartoon:

Sadly, it's for real!

Our friend "Medieval" at the extj.com forum (in Spanish) has confirmed it and he actually claims to have letters addressed to other 4 pioneers with the same pattern and gibberish.

It would be great if someone could provide a letter sent by another branch.

We are sure you have received so much joy and satisfaction serving as a special pioneer in the Congregation XXXXXX. Though you surely experienced challenges along the way, the joys and blessings for putting kingdom interests first far outweigh the sacrifices. We are sure you accepted this assignment from the branch because of your desire to serve Jehovah wholeheartedly in areas where it was necessary to support the preaching work and congregation activities. We sincerely congratulate you for your willingness to serve in this altruistic manner.

After reviewing our current needs, we have decided that your special pioneer assignment will conclude on January 1, 2016. Up until then you will continue receiving the usual monthly allowance. We understand you will need time to make the necessary arrangements (such as finding a job and housing or other arrangements); thus, we are pleased to inform you that as of this moment you are released from the monthly hour requirement. We are confident you will participate in the ministry as much as possible while taking care of these other necessary matters.

In view of the valuable experience you have gained in your ministry, we hope your circumstances will allow you to engage in the regular pioneering. To do so, you must submit an Application for Regular Pioneer Service (S-205) to the Service Committee of the Congregation. In that way, your full time service will not be interrupted. As a regular pioneer, you may choose the congregation in which you want to serve; however, we hope that, if possible, you can stay in your current assignment. If you move to another location, please talk to the circuit overseer or write to the Service Department to know where you might be more useful.

It is our understanding that this change may be unexpected. However, the Governing Body and the branch deeply appreciate your spirit of sacrifice. Please be assured that Jehovah will continue using you to strengthen his people wherever you might serve in the future. Remember also that he has the power to do much more than anything we could ask or imagine. So, be confident Jehovah will supply your daily needs (Eph. 3:20; Matt. 6:33, 34). Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS

i don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.

cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.

of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

I think it's very easy to say "he should have counter-noticed".

The paperwork involved, the time it takes and the risks involved (including the possibility of getting into a time-consuming lawsuit) are not worth fighting for IMO.

so i made a timeline based on the leaked letter, it is as follows:.

so i know i might be crazy, but is the theocratic school still there, just called apply yourself to field ministry?

Pretty much the same. I think they actually starting preparing people by modifying the former Talk No. 4 (nowadays No. 3 I think), which had to ways to be presented: If it was based on the Insight book and assigned to a brother, it remained being a talk, but if it was based on the New World Translation the instructions were as follows:

When material based on the New World Translation is assigned to a brother, it should be presented as a demonstration of family study or of field service. The assistant should be a member of the student’s family or a brother in the congregation. Usually, the school overseer will assign the assistant and the setting. If an elder is given this assignment to demonstrate the art of teaching, he may select his own assistant and the setting. Additional scriptures that highlight Bible principles that tie in with the theme may be included.

I somehow think, they were preparing people to accept having a new "school" where the three talks are given as mere demonstrations or presentations.

if you don't want to go through the whole thing; basically it is about a letter that was sent by mexico's branch requiring the body of elders to modify the service meeting for this week (september 21) and the following (september 28) in order to watch (again) stephen lett's solicitation for money (may's broadcasting).. so, why a new thread?

If you don't want to go through the whole thing; basically it is about a letter that was sent by Mexico's branch requiring the body of elders to modify the Service Meeting for THIS WEEK (September 21) and THE FOLLOWING (September 28) in order to watch (AGAIN) Stephen Lett's solicitation for money (May's broadcasting).

So, why a new thread? Well, I just wanted to know if any of the friends from other regions is experiencing these same changes in their service meetings or if actually this modification turned out to be only for Mexico and Central America.

There's something odd as to the reasons but I think more and more friends may be questioning their authority and they just can't find a way to control the masses...
