  Classless American Behavior

  i was watching the hockey game yesterday and i thought i heard 'booing' during canada's national anthem.

  earlier in the week the same thing occurred during the raptor's playoff game.. as some are aware canada has been mourning and burying their 4 dead soldiers due to the incompetence of an american fighter pilot who dropped a bomb on them while they were carrying out training exercises.

  flags are flying at half-mast as canadians try to make sense of such a careless mistake.. i find it hard to believe any civilized person would show such disrespect to another country to 'boo' them during their national anthem at any time, and more so during a time of mourning because of death caused directly by american hands.. i sincerely hope american media chastised their countrymen who showed such insensitive, classless, ignorant and disrespectful behavior to their neighbours.

  double shows off that superior wit and understanding of sarcasm once again. You know little of me and don't forget, I am a citizen of the United States troll. I've lost as much as anyone has, but what I haven't been robbed of, by terrorists or those who chose rhetoric over real patriotism, is my ability to reason. The U.S. has lost many more soldiers and civilians in our recent round of hatefulness, but what does that have to do with hockey, patriotism, and anyone's national anthem? Absolutely nothing! Singing any national anthem all the time, and there is no doubt there have been many more lately than in the pre 9/11 world, is kind of like singing too many kingdom songs if you ask me. The more you sing, the more right you appear to yourself and those around you. The same with those that boo...the more you boo, the more right you seem to yourself and your own brand of trashy hooligan. Perhaps I should pledge alliegance to the flag everyday, I'm sure that'll set me straight. Then perhaps my colleagues will hold me in higher esteem.

  i'm in need of advice:.

  today a jw wrote an article in a norwegain newspaper about the pedofile catholic priests scandal in the us these days.

  obviously, he enjoyed smearing them and argumented that the institution of celibacy was the root to the evil doings.. but, this jw is not personally very active - and he didn't mention anything jw-related in his article at all.

  More advice: Stock options

  my new job is setting aside 15% of their shares for employee stock options, to be distributed equally per employee (excluding ceo's) i am the first employee.

  they plan on selling this company in 2 years for $100,000,000.00 so 15% of that is 15 million.

  there will be 30 employees at most at that time.

  i'm sure every hall has or had a "student" or speaker that they just dreaded to listen to.

  wether it was poor reading and pronunciation, or repetitive words, there are those grueling speakers that are murder to listen to.

  and they never got better.. in one hall i went to, this bro, actually a friend of mine, had the speach mannerism "you know".

  It is one writers description and account of the living conditions that the Palestinians have to endure. I would never endorse killing people, but I certainly wouldn't live under the yolk of abuse the Plaestinians do. So much for being God's children eh? I think both sides are behaving badly. Sharon should be removed from his position and Arafat should be disregarded as the "leader" of the Palestinian people. The Israeli people can't control their leader and his army, and Arafat can't control his people and their suicide bombers. Some weird twist there...Have a read and then decide.

  celebration of birthdays...a matter of conscience?

  my family and i have argued about this for awhile now and i would like someone to confirm this.

  back in the late nineties at a district convention during the late sunday afternoon (yawn) symposium i swear i heard mention that the society now views the celebration of ones birthday to be a conscience matter and should be done with extreme caution so as not to affend others who may still view it as wrong.

  forgive me for not remembering which year it was that this was mentioned.
