It is funny just last night at my daughters recital Simon I was pulled over by the police while walking with my son who has a disability. Not because I was abusing him, not because I kidnapped him, not because he came to help me - but because I was walking around the block multiple times to calm my son down.

The police officer said that there were calls that an individual was walking around the neighborhood(which happens to be in Florida and right off a main street) looking around and they just wanted to check things out. As I looked around as he spoke to me there were other peole on the street. I was dressed fairly nice - yet there was a white guy in his 20's with a million tattoos on his neck and arms and his hate turned backwards. No one was in fear of him - but me with a child? He has his flashers on and makes me look like an idiot, just because I was walking around. I took pictures of my surrondings because I was mad and I was going to post it - but I figured hey I would be just another whiney BLACK.

This will probably never happen to you. Happens to me atleast 2 times a year or more.

With this in mind you ask the question of why he didn't call the police. Mnorities have a problem trusting those who traditionally don't trust them. Those who sprayed them with waterhoses and set dogs on them not to long ago for no reason. Police who perform the stop and frisk of 400000 young minorities and tuen up nothing just merely because of what they look like.

Simon you are white, so you probably do not understand that. So why are you saying these things

Furthermore, what is very ironic is that you would think that since they have the "truth" it would not matter who copies it and who distributes it. After all the main purpose is just to spread the truth. However when that truth is obviously tainted and the viel of honesty is removed they run to the courts to sak for protection.

hat hype did I buy into? I said George Zimmerman should have been immediately taken in to custody. A minor was killed with no eyewitness and you just cover him up with a sheet like nothing happened?

I might be wrong but there is no fact presented that TM attacked GZ first. If there is, I would love to hear it / see it.

Also, even if he did attack first who knows the reason why - wether or not he was threatened. The fact is there are no eye-witnesses so there is no way to know for a FACT exactly what happened. Everyone is acting like there is definitive proof - there is not. So if GZ gets off so be it.

However, the thing I do not get is why some are saying they have no idea why the race card was pulled when this town has a History of racial discrimination against blacks as well as police corruption in recent history. Then a minor is shot and killed with no eye witnesses and you just let the guy who killed him go without an investigation.

Why do people riot??? Because rioting is often the only way the voiceless can be heard. I am sure all of you red blooded Americans are aware of all the rights in this country that were not perpetrated by African Americans. Of course, those are warranted in the eyes of most.

There was a time in the recent history when black people could be killed just like Trayvon Martin was and no one cared to look into it or it was deemed as not a good use of time. This is the reason people get up in arms about these things.

Aaron Hernandez killed a black guy recently, you don't see peopel going nuts in the Black community talking about injustice. The reason is because a proper investigation was done. In the Martin case in a town known for ignoring the riots of Afrtican Americans and in a town that has history of corrupt police officers nothing was done when a minor was killed. If you can't understand why a community is upset - I don't know what to say

My 8 year old daughter tells me she is an atheist...???

so since we have not been to a meeting in 6 months or so, i decided to ask my daughter (on the way home from cheerleading practice - yeah i can't believe i am letting her engage in such a worldly activity lol) if she misses going to the kingdom hall.

she says sometimes because she can't see her friend - but she has made new friends so it doesn't bother her too much.

so i ask her, "well, what about learning about jehovah?

@Bob - I am... I am very happy - yet blaming myself like itook god awayfrom her. I think it is just confusion for me at the moment.

I don't know why I want her to believe in GOD - its her choice,I just feel like I forced it on her...

I guess I will learn to think clearly on this later. I think its cigar and scotch time

I know I should probably feel different but I am really really feeling kinda like I have failed in some way. The first thing I did was start praying for something to say, but then realized that she seems more logical in her thoughts than I do.

To top it off my wife is like, "She seems smarter than we were for most of our lives"

So I really felt like my decision has caused them to be godless,, then I feel like - well is that bad. Kinda throwing me for a loop.

i swear I felt stupid describing something like this to her knowing my answer makes no sense...

this is really difficult to put in words the inner turmoil it creates. My wife laughs and thinks its perfectly normal. I have no idea why it bothers me so much
