Sorry simon you are wrong. It happens all the time. Although you might think it can't it can and it does.

That case you mentioned may sound "harsh" but if you take a stroll through many major AA and Hispanic cities you will realizer this happens ALL THE TIME. That one instance was a personal one I was there for however there were countless situations in my neighborhood where this happened. The number of police on the take in areas were there are large AA populations is large. THe reason is because they know very few people will take it seriously.

In regards to complaints... do you really think these people do not complain, yet it gets to a point were they are ignored because of who they are.

Not to mention when we decided to walk to basketball courts or parks in "white" areas we were told to go back. Pulled over and held for no reason then told to go back home. These are things that many minority groups experience daily... it is a violation of thier tights. Period.

Well SImon as a 13 year old being kicked off a basketball court because, "We just needed to leave" you can understand I was upset. I told my mother - and yes she did. There was never any contact back although she questioned them a few times. Nothing ever happened.

As for my friend who was arrested on the front steps of his own home during summer break, there was no one to complain to. Why??? Because the police officer SAID he had drugs on him which he did not. He had on a pair of basketball shorts - no pockets and he had on a tank top. We were all drinking soda and big gulps from 7-11. A police car drove past the house and doubled back. Two officers got out and asked us what we were doing.

Mind you 4 of us were witnesses and so was he. He responded with the words, "Nothing, bro - just chillin"

Officer said, "Don't call me your fucking brother..." He grabs him by the arm and pushes him to the wall and starts laughing and asks him if he had drugs on him. He said no... but he got cuffed and thrown in the car. We told his mom and she ran to the station, late that evening we found out he had been hit witha drug charge. He got 3 years for it. Came homefrom prison and was not himself. Everyone turned their back on him in the hall because apparently he was a criminal which he was not.

His life was destroyed.

This is not an uncommon situation in urban areas. The amount of corrupt and power-tripping police is ridculous. No one will trust these police officers because of the abuse. Just ask the people who deal with this on a daily basis

"When you are a cop you don't racial profile anybody or you wont make it out of basic training.

You have to be able to put into words why you stop someone.
No one will ever be racialy profiled.
Every one will be stoped because there is a legaly verbily documetable reason.

James I respect the time you spent as an officer of the law - however I do not think that all police forces use those same measures or maybe they do not have someone checking them. As a teenager in NJ we were constantly profiled. Kicked out of parks merely because someone said so. Friends were arrested and had drugs planted on them(happen to a dub friend of mine - destroyed him and his family). People physically attacked because the cops just wanted to do it and "make you respect them".

Unfortunately in large urban areas the police are not put to the same scrutiny as other areas apparently. There are a number of horror stoies that can be told along these lines. Profiling exists and it is not uncommon

the attitude and conduct of true christians stand in sharp contrast with the mere outward show of godly devotion of those whose worship is often no more than a hypocritical ploy.

some religious leaders have become wealthy by defrauding their flocks, using much of the money thus obtained to acquire expensive homes and automobiles.

I definitely agree LHG - When I was there and after leaving I gave those same talks about being materialistic and looked down on people who worked hard. After all I went when I was 19 and had no understanding of the real world. Years later I look back and laugh at my stupidity.

These folks took the bait and never realized that this career path offers no experience or retirement program. I was repeatedly told that any skill I got from Bethel would help me provide for myself if I left. Of course, cleaning mens locker rooms and picking up dog crap in the park across the street from the 25-30 building would have me on the fast track when I left.

@Sammy - The Law trumps morals and logic in this case. The fact is if Zimmerman would have not profiled the kid stopped following / identified himself / followed the instructions of an individual who had more common sense then he did none of this would have happened... however the LAW did not prevent him from doing any of those things so TECHNICALLY he is innocent. That is all that matters to many people.

Remember most people do not think TM is a kid because he was intimidating and scary because he had a hoody and was tall and "apparently" a thug who just got what he deserved(not my words). Most people realize that this situation was brought about by Zimmerman but they do not care.

But sammie I am not the one that called the president of your country a slime ball(sounds like hate to me), I am not the one that called Trayvon Martin a Thug, I am not the one that said Trayvon got what he deserved, I am not the one that said just because he is 17 doesn't make him a child, I am not the one that says it is only right to be afraid of black men that wear hoodies and are tall and muscular. Those things are stated by you and your think tank. You claim I am attacking but you are responding as much as anyone else posting news articles from biased sources and calling others prejudiced and racist and full of hate. (see your comments above)

So how do you figure that the president is swaying people in to rioting when he specifically spoke out against rioting? So should he have told the people to riot in an attempt to not get them to riot?

Your buddies were the ones over-stating TM size and Stature to prove something yet you never called them on it. THat is the problem. You don't care about facts from everyone just those who disagree with you. (Hard to accept but it's true)

A guy I worked with was asked to leave in the last round of layoffs. He got there when he was 19 and was 56 when he was told to leave with his wife. He was totally distraught, and rightfully so. The problem was that he thought he would get back to his home congregation and people would take care of him. He told me that at first everyone was so excited about them being there but after about 6 months it all wore off and he said he finally realized why the brothers at Bethel always said to pray for those in the congregations.

He had no idea life on the outside was this hard. His wife is complaining about them not having the things they need and he has no experience in anything marketable. I would have no problem if they decided to let him stay and do absolutely nothing - especially since they ruined his life. However, when you no longer have a strong back and you have no degree you are a dirty piece of tissue to them fit for nothing but the garbage.

God would not treat people in such a manner, so why would his chosen organization

How is Trayvon all of a sudden a dead kid?? weren't you guys calling him a man-child before that was like 6ft5 200lbs and could punch with the force of a volkswagon. So because he felt that way about Trayvon you think he is slimy ROFL. How do you know he didn't really feel that way? Notice he and his government? It;s not your government as well?

Yes this president (who I am no fan of either) had a feeling and he expressed it... you didn't like it - but that doesn't make him slimy. Just in your eyes.

I am sure people reading the things you are writing may "erroneously" view you as slimy and bigoted. Would that be right? I guess it would since everyone is entitled to thier opinion/ SOmaybe you are right this time!
