  Will you be alone on Valentines Day?

  i just happened to glance a the date as i was posting 2-13-02. one day before valentines day.

  i realized that i don't have a valentine.

  i subscribe to the idea that it is better to be alone and wish you were with someone than be with someone and wish you were alone.

  when man discovered how to make fire it was an evolutional break thru.. his mind (brain) had developed to the point of making all kinds of discoveries.. a natural question for a being as he gains more and more consciousness is at a some point to ask the questions:.

  what was the last straw for you?.

  mine was the treatment of my wife.

  At 16 I told the sister I was studying with that I was getting drunk with my brother-in-law every weekend. She proceeded to ask me how often I slept with him. Oh and there was that little incident at 6, when a jw bastard forced his disgusting sexual appetite on me. It was great to remember abuse at 14, be accused of fornication at 16, have the elders condemn you at 16 1/2 and then ostrocized from the congregation for drinking when the elders kids organised orgies!

  I didn't stay broken for more than eight years though. I realized it was the people who failed me, just as I failed myself, by not letting those s.o.b's get to me.

  If I don't put my jewelery on a certain way, I feel naked. If I don't put my shoes on right-left, then I'm gunna have a bad day. But I think they're complusions, not superstitions. Got lots more of those hang-ups. Shall not continue.

  as we read the many expressions here on the board it is plain for all to see that the actions and beliefs of the wts have caused great hurt and distress.

  in short, for many, many jws the organisation with its elder arrangement just doesn't work.

  Hoorah to Ozzie!!!!!

  Although I am studying with the jw's still, I'm still on the outskirts. Being a s.l myself, it's hard to trust them, let alone openly speak about my misgivings. I had bitter feelings for them for nearly 8 years. And I still feel hurt, used by these people.

  DF folk are emotionally scared from their ordeal. They've pretty much been exposed for behaviour 'unbecoming' to a jw by their so called 'peers'. These 'peers' have ridiculed and ostricized them and made them feel like they alone are the greatest threat to peace. Then there is the guilt-trip bullshit that the elders throw at you. They mess with your head. I've known a few to walk away from the meetings, because of the guilt and shame they were made to suffer for their questioning. Can you blame them for the bitterness they are feeling. And can you really blame them for coming here, voicing their opinion then getting really upset because some idiot on the board doesn't quite agree with what they are saying or takes it completely out of context! Sounds just like a meeting with the elders. DF'd are already feeling a little isolated, they don't really need to feel it on an apostate site too. Let em bitch moan and complain, eventually they will get it out of their system and then the fun can begin - taking the piss out of the wt.

  If a df'd person comes here simply to vent, then that is extremely good therapy, no matter what it is they're venting. It does absolutely no good to bottle it up. You'll say something quite innocent and then pow, knocked dead by acidic remarks!!!!

  Winter Olympics commentary from Aussie's larrikins

  here in the land of oz we're enjoying watching our expert commentators, roy slaven and h g nelson, bringing the winter olympics to us on the seven network.

  if you guys and gals can catch it, it's worth it, even to see what the sydney olympians enjoyed in 2000.. already they have given expert commentary on the figure skating events.. do you know what these expressions in figure skating mean:.

  Ah, the sick and twisted humour of oz. I lurve it!!!!!

  Personally, I didn't catch much of Roy and HG while the 2000 olympics were on, except for the diving commentry. Missed the ol' ABC gig they used to have. Was quite entertaining - Club Buggery, wasn't it Ozziepost?

  they were discussing sodom and gomorah and how if jah had found a few righteous men in that city, both cities would be spared.

  not a one was found.

  however, they mention jah protected lot and his daughters, as they were faithful and living nearby.

  Oh yeah I forgot that Sarah laughed her frigging head off when told she'd give birth at 90 odd years of age. And what was God's response: "Why is she laughing at me?" Shouldn't he have already bin aware that she would have thought it ludicrous at her wise old age. Afterall nothing is hidden from him.
