I beleive its clear the JW are very wrong !
by Donald Fitz inthe history of the watchtower organization is kept secret from new members and its own history is proof that the god of the bible would not accept these false prophets and false doctrines in his church body.. the founder of the jehova witness was named charles russell from pa. russell stated that in 1799 the end times started and that in 1874 christ invisibly returned to earth to rule.
russells prophecy was that in 1914 the world would come to an end.
russell changed that date to 1915 and later to 1918. russell claimed that only his published books could allow people to correctly understand the bible.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You post very interesting thoughts. Although not being able to smoke in my opinion won't hurt anyone. As far as God being a Trinity, I personally can't believe that because Jesus is God's son. God and Jesus are not one in the same. God has no beginning and no end. God created Jesus as his son. Holy spirit is His power, but I do not see how they could all be the same thing. Even if I had never been a JW, I don't think I could believe in a Trinity. I am not trying to be argumentative, it's just what I think.
As far as hell, I believe that that is from the word "Sheol" which means the common grave. The bible does say that the dead are concsious of nothing. A loving God would not permit an eternal buring in a "Hellfire".
These are just tidbits I have learned anyway. Maybe I am incorrect, I can't claim to be an expert by any means that's for sure!

and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

Hello all,
I really appreciate everyones thoughts on this. I guess I am " programmed" to think and react a certain way. I always did wonder why JWs were not to read " apostate" Literature. I wondered what there was to hide if we already had the truth. I remember years ago out in service one day, a lady at the door tried to hand my mom a piece of religious lit. and she handed it back to her all the while trying to leave the woman the Watchtower and Awake mags. I thought back then it was kind of strange in way. But i guess if you feel you have the truth, you are not open to any discussion on the matter. It seemed hypocritical in way. The least my mother could have done was take the lit. and throw it away later or something, but she said that even to have it in her hands would be " inviting demons " . Needless to say, the woman at the door would not take the magazines.
I guess I am on a long journey. Where it will end up, I don't know. But I know I am fed up with so much in the org. There is alot of good in it, I will say that, but just as much is not.
The other day, a brother in our cong. was saying that in car groups for service, if there is a baptized brother in the car, he needs to take the lead for service, even if there are older sisters in the car.
This makes no sense to me. If I use MY car in service, as far as I am concerned, I am in charge. I had really never heard this before. How stupid would it look to have a snot nosed young baptized brother in the car giving directions to a group of older more experienced women!
I would never go along with that. I did have a young brother one time in my car trying to tell me which driveways to go into. I hesitated to go to one, and he insisted that I go. Well, stupidly I did and the woman threatened to call the cops if we came back! I was pretty irritated. I should have followed my hunch to begin with. It had no trespassing signs even! That was the last time I allowed anything in my car group to happen. I don't care what man does'nt like it. What is up with all this man-woman stuff with the JWs anyway?? It all seems so ridiculous in this day and age. Women hold professional job positions, management, high ranking poilitcal offices, state governors even! But if your a woman JW, forget being in charge of ANYTHING! ( not that I would want to be), It's just the idea that gets me.

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I would not like to think that a loving God would wipe out people like that either. But what about the great flood in Noah's day? God wiped out Women and children during that flood. So why would he not do it again??

Anyway, lately I have been doing more thinking about everything. It seems my posts are always of a complaining nature and I feel like all I do is whine about all the rotten things that have happened to me as a JW. I think maybe at times I should lighten up as everyone in this world makes mistakes. Setting aside all the garabage, I really find myself questioning alot of the teachings of the JWs. But from a religious standpoint this is all I know. I feel other Churches do not have the truth- the Witnesses seem to have as close to it as I can find. But along with what I agree with, there is so much I dont.
I want to make it through Armageddon. I do want a new world with no suffering or death. I really believe from my heart in these things. I am afraid constantly. There is this nagging doubt that I am not doing the right thing. What if God expects us to preach about the last days? What if meetings are our only lifeline when the end comes? I know there are many out there that do not even belive in God anymore. But I firmly believe that this is not all there is for us. I think something better is in the future. I just want to know that I am doing the right things. I try my hardest to live by Bible standards, I consider myself to be a Christian. But the Bible does say that is not for man to judge us. Only God can read hearts. I guess Witnesses feel you have to go through the Elders for your worthiness. I dont know, I feel so confused. Is there anyone else out there going through what I am?? Please let me know your thoughts.
