  What about Jesus?

  Or is Jesus bypassed by dedicated Christians?

  it was built in 1912 by christian scientists who, when they moved on, sold it to baptists.

  the baptists moved on in the 1970s and sold it to jehovah's witnesses.

  i find that from time to time life catches up with me, and i get distracted - temporarily losing all interest in things jw-related.

  Angelic information

  Being under the direction of angels meant the remnant received information and organization instructions from angels. In Rutherford's words:

  Certain duties and kingdom interests have been committed by the Lord to his angels, which include the transmission of information to God's anointed people on the earth for their aid and comfort. Even though we cannot understand how the angels transmit this information, we know that they do it. [42]

  These angels are invisible to human eyes and are there to carry out the orders of the Lord. No doubt they first hear the instruction which the Lord issues to his remnant and then these invisible messengers pass such instruction on to the remnant. [43]

  ... angels are delegated by the Lord to convey his instructions to the members of his organization on earth. Just how this is done is not necessary for us to understand. [44]

  Or is what really motivating The Watchtower is the $2.895 million asking price?

  Who actually paid for this building anyway?

  The Jehovah's Witnesses or The Watchtower?

  And who gets the money when the property sells?

  Historic Old Northside church could be yours for $2.9M

  A majestic church building at the corner of 12th and Delaware streets is up for sale for the first time in more than 30 years. The 34,000-square-foot neoclassical building includes a 1,200-seat auditorium renovated in 1995. The limestone structure has been used as a place of worship since it was built in 1912. The Jehovah's Witnesses have owned it since 1978, but the church needs more room and plans to move elsewhere once it sells. The building's list price: $2.895 million. Summit Realty Group brokers Rich Forslund and Matt Langfeldt are marketing the property to potential users including another church, an educational or nonprofit organization, or an arts group. The building at 1201 N. Delaware St. sits across from the President Benjamin Harrison Home and blocks away from the Indiana Landmarks Center in the Old Northside neighborhood. "Potential buyers who have seen it have been blown away by its immaculate condition and overall character," Forslund said in a statement. "It really is a vital and unique piece of real estate." Among its impressive features is an open-loop geothermal system that uses groundwater for hearing and cooling, Forslund said. The building sits on 1.8 acres, and the property also includes a vacant roughly one-acre lot along Alabama Street. More photos are here .

  At the Assembly... Did you catch that talk about encouraging young ones to pursue a career in the ministry? ...and what about that 'murmuring'

  yes, i heard that talk where apparently (in my wife's circuit that is) there are 5 times as many pioneers over 50 or 60 than there are amongst the younger people.

  there was also 3 or 4 times as many elders and ms's amongst the elderly than there are amongst young people.

  the message, parents, friends, encourage your young ones to pursue an education and a career in the ministry.

  Facebook and employment interviews

  listening to this in the news got me infuriated!.

  there is a growing trend that employment interviewers are asking for facebook profile with login password.. they are looking into everything you post.. there is no law in the books to prevent this!.

  even though i'm self employed, i think this goes beyond what's required of hirees!.

  Why not also ask during the interview for the person's online banking account number and password in order to check their finances?

  No law against that either!

  I doubt very many people would provide that information during an interview.

  in approximately 20 months it will be the year 2014. that year will be 1914+100 years.

  i don't know how the wts is going to get around that if the "present system" is still in existence.

  This only benefits The Watchtower Organization which requires many followers in order to continue to exist!

  How does it benefit the individual? Very little if at all.

  Wasted lives following "The Truth" which isn't truth at all, just made up Watchtower doctrines.

  The interval 1914 to 2014 far exceeds anyone's, including the Bible's, conception of the length of a "generation."
