  Using Governing Body Member Jackson Testimony To The Royal Commission, For A Defense Before A Judicial Committee Meeting

  i think that a person that is called before a judicial committee can use a recording of the trial and force the elder to view it because of jackson's statement to the commission and get off.

  i think mr jackson has said enough about people who wish to leave the witnesses as not being harassed, hunted down, or spied upon and such to get the elder off your back and give them a "good witness".. also to be highlighted is the fact that jackson has stated under oath that the governing body is willing to reexamine doctrine and policy in order to conform to the law,.

  i think many statements by gb jackson to the commission can be used by some one clever and thus escape the label of apostate and be unhindered to a large extent of speaking to others.. .

  Dubs can't entertain the thought that someone would leave without being under demon control, because that's what's been repeatedly pounded into their heads. It's Black or White, Good or Bad, Jehovah or Satan, JW or Sinner. Only those not 100% indoctrinated can think for themselves, but even then a Dub must follow the crowd. They must at least appear to agree with the gossip or the suspicion will turn toward them. To be a Dub, you have to stay in Dubstep. I doubt everyone believes all the gossip, but it's too risky to voice a different opinion.

  Not sure what my current fading "sin" is as I've heard everything from that old favorite Been Stumbled (well, yes, by elders who refused to report child abuse) to Secret Sinning (I wish my life was that exciting) to Apostate (okay, by their definition that's true). It's all good - if I can be their gossip fodder, maybe they'll be leaving someone else alone. And my family sees how much happier I am now than before my fade, so that's a huge plus in my book. Maybe that will eventually help them to wake up and get out.

  JWdaughter, I've had similar reactions from family. It's just another way of not having to face facts because jws have to stay in their insulated bubble of J-fiction. They can't really help it, though, the brainwashing is deep.

  This sham religion calls itself "the truth", but the real truth is that if you're still in and bring up factual points that expose the Borg you'll get kicked out, and if you're out and bring up factual points that expose the Borg, it doesn't count because you're not "in".

  For real truth lovers, the Borg is a lose-lose situation.

  Great story, thank you both for the posts. I hope that many non-jws and jws read this and realize what a sham this ridiculous 'religion' is, and perhaps some of those scarred by this abuse feel a bit of comfort by the fact that at last, the child abuse and the insidious jw policies to handle it are becoming openly known. While that doesn't provide direct healing, it may help bring some closure.

  i was raised a witness, baptized at 16, vacation pioneered, got married, etc.

  i was very much your typical witness and believed it was the truth until last summer.

  a very close relative of mine left the witnesses.

  I Made the Literature Trolley Run Away Today - Twice

  i popped into town this morning to buy an anniversary card for mrs cofty.

  it is market day on a saturday and it's tourist season so the town was very busy.

  here is a picture of the scene from a year ago... two cult carts were in their favourite place being guarded by none other than one of the elders who was on my judicial committee, his wife and another jw woman in her electric disability buggy.

  So, I became very ill ... what did my loving brothers do?

  recently i have fallen ill with a serious case of chickenpox (shingles).

  three weeks down, high fevers, and the blisters attacked mostly my scalp and face, but then also my whole upper body.

  i looked horrid, truly like a mutant monster out of a nuclear disaster.

  Eden, did not mean to focus on my situation instead of yours (just wanted to share the same point). My mom suffered through a hellacious case of shingles so I feel for your pain on both fronts. Just remember that your scars are proof of your strength. Hugs to you!!
