Yes Kenneson, that is what its about. It was a high honor to be given land, they fought for it over and over. The promise in psalms was that they would be given the land they were fighting for if they obeyed Jah. It was for there and then.
I think the Matt 5:5 is right too, the meek will inherit the earth, Ephesians 1 vs 9-10 says all things will be made one, so heaven and earth will be inherited by the same people, Jesus himself has inherited ALL things, that icludes the earth.

golden, dont know if these thoughts of mine will be of any help, (click on url above) it discusses Matt 5:5 "Blessed are the meek" more so than Psalms but a lot of the arguments would be the same.
One point to remember is that JWs believe Jesus has inherited the earth even though he doesnt reside on it! They also believe that Matt 5:5 is applicable to the the 144000 rather than to the "great crowd" but this is addressed at the Url above

when you were a jw can you remember things you should've not liked but did?
i was listening to some dowloads tonight and heard "happy birthday" by stevie wonder, i remember going to a big family party when i was a kid, and my uncle who had some dj decks put this one on for me as it was my birthday (none of my dads side of the family were jw) i loved it.......good memories still of this song.. i remember getting easter eggs too, and thinking however pagan they were, they tasted bloody delicious.
better than "ordinary" chocolate bars.

The reality is very different.
Rob, I didnt have an image like the scenario you mentioned, but what is the reality you refer too? Or the real 'image'? I am still trying to work out what they are doing, one news report says one thing and another says they are letting the couple have a baby specifically to use its organs to help their son.
I'm a bit confused by this too.

...my gran, who has been a jw since the 1950's will be reproved publicly for speaking to her grand-daughter who is disfellowshipped.
she is 77 years old and i am worried that it will be the death of her.
the"truth" has been her life for nearly fifty years and she is still a regular publisher.. if she continues to commit this gross sin she will be disfellowshipped.. her daughter and son in law are to be disfellowshipped for the terrible sin of allowing their daughter to live under their roof since she left her husband.
Sorry to hear this, it must be a traumatic time for her. 77 yrs and they treat her this way! Totally disgraceful. Give her a hug for us when you do see her.
