  Where is the proof Jehovahs people abuse children?

  here is what this "special topic" describes with deadly false propaganda.. "a person might ask why we would single out the witnesses in this matter.

  as with other fundamentalist cults, the watchtower goes by the bible advice only when it comes to exposing crimes regarding children or anyone else, that there must be two or more witnesses to a crime.

  since abuse and molestation are rarely seen by anyone other than the perpetrator and the victim (and the victim will rarely testify against himself), perhaps hundreds or thousands of cases have gone unpunished, and the perpetrator has not been brought to the police, and the congregation has not been told.

  Bleep: while most of your comments are written in such a confusing bastardization of the English language I have trouble understanding them, I did get this:

  OK, finally something I can respond to and I would appreciate a straight answer to my sincere question:

  How can the crime of child sexual abuse be prevented if elders hide the crime from parents in the congregation? How can said crimes be prevented if the perpetrator repents, has only a single complaint, moves to another congregation, situation repeats...? In other words, how can parents protect their children from predators if congregation leaders are silent about patterns of abuse and forbid others to talk about it?

  After my dog died, and a painful bout with back-hair waxing, I regained my faith and have been waiting patiently for your return. I thought I saw you once in a cloud formation, but it turned out to be some spacey drag queen. You can't blame a girl for being eager now can you? I was taught to "be in expectation" of your return, but I gotta say, "expecting" is only supposed to last for 9 months!

  But I digress. Now that you're back, are you going to start kicking pagan ass? Can we expect a violent end to: abortion doctors; Jews & Muslims; directors re-makes of classic films; child molesters hidden by outdated church policies; heavy metal/rapp; televangilists; and everything else you and I agree on?

  I'm armed to the teeth and ready to swing the mace on thine enemies, Dear Lord. I've got my hip waders ready for when the streets run with their blood. This is gonna ROCK!

  i started to call this thread "porno" or something like that -- to get attention -- but since i don't know exactly what porno is, i thought i'd get down to the nitty gritty with the title.. here's the deal: i like looking at pics and/or live video or, if i'm lucky (or out of town) real live females who have no clothes on.

  it's not something i do all the time, but when the mood strikes.... okay.

  now, before i go any fu'tha, let me 'splain something.... i'm the type of guy that likes natural thangs.

  I dunno, Teejay. Let's not jump to conclusions. Perhaps Marilyn is more typical than you think and the lack of replies indicates this really is a non-issue.

  I'd be worried about my guy if he didn't like to look at nude women. This has never bothered me at all, and would not have if I'd had sons instead of daughters. I would object to images of violence, extremes or fettishes...but other than that, who cares?

  For most women, it's fine for their men to look and even express appreciation for a fine looking woman. What is not OK is to go on and on in the vein of: "Why don't you dye your hair red like Suzy at the office. Maybe you could get your boobs lifted like Suzy. Do you think you could wear spandex bike shorts like Suzy does?" Comparisons are rude, no matter which gender you are.

  Maybe I am: "too insecure enough"...??

  Ozzie's Wine of the Month

  for the past month or so, mrs ozzie and i have been enjoying a few (several!

  ) bottles of this beautiful drop, a "good earth" banrock station 2000 shiraz cabernet.

  it's a vibrant wine with rich berry flavours, soft vanillin oak and fine tannins.

  My "ex" was in the business, so I was able to tour quite a few of the wineries and taste some of the best.

  One of the least pretentious wineries, in my opionion, is/was Chandon California. We had a very personal tour, got to try almost anything we asked for, and were given a free romp in the gift shop after hours.

  Most interesting wine-maker: lovely British lady at Quail Run in Napa. Enjoyed a long brunch at her table, where she regaled us with how she became one of the first female wine masters in a male-dominated field.

  Frank: I adore Stag's Leap. The Chard is buttery-rich without being overly woody. Yum

  Trauma: thanks for posting the article. I just woke up and haven't listened to the news yet. It's been hot and dry here, so a spontaneous fire would not be out of the question. The quote from the elder I heard last night was a paraphrase, but fairly close to what he actually said and the intent was quite clear.

  Honestly, I wouldn't wish a fire on anyone. I'm greatly relieved no one was hurt. While I am overjoyed when individuals wake up and walk out of a Kingdom Hall voluntarily, I have never wished for a violent end. It's too much like what they wish for the churches and temples of "Babylon".

Basically, he was thankful because this is Thursday night when meeting would have been held, if not for District Convention this weekend at Tacoma Dome.

  Yet to be determined if fire was deliberate or accidental.

  He has been jailed for two years with 12 months suspended, after denying eight charges of indecent assault dating back to the 1980s. He will be put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

  You assault young boys, abuse their trust, mislead their parents, deny any wrongdoing and THIS is the sentence? Two years with one suspended? Un-flipping-believable!

  Before this thread gets burried: what did the article have to say about Yoga? My (Dub) daughter and her friends are all working out to a televised Yoga show. They'll be pissed if they have to give it up.

  I know the stance in the past, so I raised an eyebrow when she asked me to tape the program for her. She dismissed it as if it was no big deal. "They don't meditate or anything..."

  How hard was the article on the practice of Yoga?
