Beards......the CO allowed this one!

a minny man in a local congregation has a beard...he was bullied by the elders to remove it.. then the co came along and told the elders to allow him to keep his beard.

(not as the result of any skin condition or anything).. i kid you not!!!.

Wasn't he talking about a little person? Dwarf or smaller than normal height man as in minny man pictured above ? Seriously ? What else does minny man mean?

More to the point is why can't women pass mics ?There were women "deacons" mentioned in the Bible, what ever the Greek word was, it meant women were running churches, like the Anglican women Bishops of today and Catholis have Womenpriests.

John-Mann - Actually John - if those kids were being taught how to

actually PLAN their own future as young people, a beach house is a

perfectly reasonable goal for them. The trouble is every ambition and goal

is deferred, thwarted, put off beyond their own lifetime. While normal children

with responsible parents are shown how to succeed and achieve success and

develop themselves, get a real career and be a productive citizen and a useful

person in their community. Thats the people living in those big houses, JW's

only get to see as they go door to door. People DO live on the beach.

Those people have university educations, and understand financial management

and are actual, real, productive; executives, doctors, dentists, engineers, teachers,

business people, artists, entrepreneurs, and a thousand other types of people living

in reality and not "waiting" for the end of the world, to begin their life.

yes, the jws continue to bleed their young ones, so far in my local kh 3 were dfd, one girl just turned 18 this month and packed her bags and said goodbye to the cult and her cultish parents, another young 18 year old man decided to have a non-jw girlfriend and decided to stop attending and is no longer a witness.

they continue to leave and wt leaders dont give a damn.

they dont do anything to help kids be successful and live a healthy life.. .

This is the underlying motivation; the only sense of community any witness has is the isolated experience within the group. So when they leave, after realizing the true nature of this spiritual dictactorship and it core false teachings, then they are left with no idea how to fit in to a society that they had just been condeming as doomed and wicked. As a result, the child becomes a body that fulfills the wishes of his parents and those around him,"

i have suffered with menopausal symptoms for a few years now.

hot flushes and facial sweating, the most noticeable to others.. a sister i knew used to laugh and pretty much, mock me.

i used to say "you wait till you get them" , without being nasty.. i seriously hope she suffers.

How old are you ? You sound like you are about 12 years old.

When you are going through a life change or a life threatening

illness, such as cancer, or in this case, untreated menopause,

(there are things your doctor can give you) as an example,

no one really understands except someone who has already

gone through the same thing. People have far more serious

medical conditions believe me, this will pass, get some medical

solutions for symptoms. May be the answer is to stop associating

with JW's completely and find new friends.

But does not connect this with the WT organization

telling him not to educate himself ?

He would rather turn his mind over and be programmed ?

Speculation: Female Ministerial Servants coming soon

ive no source for this, just personal speculation.. * there is a good case to be made that there were female deacons (ministerial servants) in the bible.. * there is a lack of qualified brothers for basic assignments such as microphones, accounts, literature.

in some cases, elders have had to do double duty because of a lack of ministerial servants or qualified brothers.. * women outnumber men in the organization.. * there is supposedly a surprising change coming "down the pipe".. perhaps the only difference between male and female ministerial servants is that women will still not be allowed to teach..

Comotose - I am not a "traditionalist" and you would be surpised

how many see the ongoing unequal position of women in all churches

as a moral and ethical "sin" and something that should have been

corrected two thousand years ago. The Genesis "curse" is well known,

but the Bible says the curse was nailed to the cross and there is nether

male nor female in Christ. I don't mean this as a sermon, but to

point out how far off all churches are and even Paul was bending to

social norms, and there were women leaders in the early church

and in the Hebrew scriptures. No Jew today is recognized as a Jew,

unless his mother is a Jew. Israel itself, passes through the women.

The Muslims have really done a job on oppressing women, and look

at their societies. The male dominated WT Society is worse than

the Catholic Church in the dismissal of women as second class citizens.

Think about it - This makes Eve the pinnacle of creation, the final masterpiece,

even able to reproduce without rib surgery, because she was created last

badly, because as a white single mother I didn't fit the "picture".

They really cannot see themselves as other see them.

There is nothing of value for young people. They fundamental

idea is that without constant control no one is capable of being

a decent person. Its a shame based, fear based, paranoid society.

Unfortunately they are targeting people of color. They think

indoctrination and hammering and learning by rote,

will capture minds. That works on five year olds, but even children

outgrow childish things. The most pressing need, is a way to

allow those that are strong enough to leave in body, to be helped

to leave in mind as well. Too many, even here, think deep inside,

its the only "truth" and they cannot reconnect, spiritually or socially.

if it's money the watchtower org is after, it seems like they'd want to hold on to all the members they can.. how would you answer this logic?.

The exclusitivity lends to the appeal.

Absurd as that actually is; I think designs is right.

Its a "sole survivors club" All JW's think they have "special knowledge"

no-one else "knows" but the "chosen ones". Its all about being special.

Its same sort elitism the atheists think they have on this site.

"We are in possession of the true knowledge, not like you scum."

To be "in-with-the "in"- crowd" is the appeal, a members only,

special class of people. They feel protected by belonging, by

feeling they distinguish themselves from the masses.

To be able to snub anyone who violates the rules is

part of this mindset. I have heard jw's talk about people

after they left, or were disfellowshipped, they would have

seen them on the street and they said, "Did you see her ?

She looked awful. (she didn't) Did you see how sad she looked?

There's nothing "out there' you know." They were very self satisfied.

at having this woman to feel so superior to. It works for them.

Its like living in a Gated Community, with security gaurds.

I even heard some jw woman say " We have the Governy Body",

in a tone implying the 'specialness' of this, she actually thinks

God is only dealing with these eight men and all she

has to do is show up, and never complain.

No thinking required and no strenuous acts of charity,
