  i think thay will be asked to do little more then "simply watch the emblems pass by"

  maby the more knowledgeable posters can add to the list
  the divinity of christ--------------- rejected
  jesus died for flesh and blood------- rejected
  jesus died on the cross-------------- rejected
  jesus is the way to the father------- rejected
  the act of communion with christ----- rejected
  the sacrifice of christ-------------- rejected
  ( in making it a ransom it is made into an extortion payment)

  how could the rejection of that which represents christ, not be seen as a rejection of that which christ represents?

  i can't find any biblical reference that would indicate that jesus wanted some of his teachings followed by only his apostles and some followed by the rest of his "flock" i can't accept the "well, you weren't there so jesus was not talking to you" arguement

  we have also been told by that governing body that mysticism is of the devil.

  it's evilwickedmeanbadandnasty.. so exactly how, then, does the gb get this information from god?.

  if the H.S. were "a helper" that teaches, how then could it be as claimed by the WT, a mindless force? i think the WT will need to put a different spin on the "helper". or the "confusion" of the "trinity" become even more "confusing".

  Was there evil before Adam sinned?

  this question is specifically asked of jw-apologists, but anyone's response is greatly appreciated.. is all evil in the world the result of humankind's sin?.

  the watchtower teaches that the earth is old (in agreement with science), but that humankind is young (6,000 years as of 1975).

  since they wish to have an old earth however, it is necessary to say that each day of creation is longer than an actual day- various figures are given i believe.. i believe i am correct in saying that the logical conclusion must be that animals existed for a long time prior to the events in the garden of eden and the sinning of human beings.

  one day while i was watching a TV nature program with my small neice , i saw a young caribou eating grass, we thought nothing of it but when the caribou was, seized by wolves it upset my neice. but i noticed that the wolves DID NOT kill the caribou thay only ate it death was just a thing that happens to anything that is eaten.
  in genesis the fruit eaten was called the fruit of knowledge of god and evil which could be said to represent the knowledge of the duelistic nature of creation. the "sin" was not in acquiring knowledge but in disobeying gods command. if we were to return to the garden and we did lose the "knowledge" how then could we discrininate between one kind of eating and another.
  if satan was "evil" to tempt eve then, evil exisited before the knowledge of evil. but if evil is a byproduct of knowledge, like death is a byproduct of eating then would it be necessary to change the behaivor of animals? or would the observer simply reconize the act of eating with out judgement?

  i'm trying to get a clear "take" on this:.

  the wts has often implied that their form of missionary work, concentrating on "preaching and teaching", is superior to that of christendom's.

  christendom often starts out by bringing food supplies, hospitals and the like, supposedly "enticing" the natives with material goodies.

  the "catholic charities" have been receiving $$ for years and any other faith based charity can get it too, now today. all they need do is hire licensed sochial workers and not preach religon. if the true and real objective of the " faith based charities" is to help people and not make converts, what need is there to wait?

  i "understand" what the WT is saying but the point that simon made nulifies the whole thing, how can that go unseen? that is what i don't get. if that is there complete justification, then the door to door work must be a satanic rite. jesus, to my understanding, came to and for all mankind. he was not a functionary of any "church" come to establish a law based system. if the "witches" or "satanist" mock the works of jesus, then how does there mockery make the eating of the "bread" anything but christian?

  i'm not sure i understand you, i know that in zoroasterisom 600 years older them chistianity, there was a savior born of a virgin, son of god, but how does any other religons belief cause a rejection of the words of jesus? satanic religon, to my understanding, denys christ. would satan "mock" a "satanic" ritual? if finding stories that parrel the NT in other beleifs nullifies the teachings of jesus, does that then mean then that we must reject all the teachings of jesus? sence he asked his desciples to partake in a "satanic right"? was it the "higher" calling of the deciples that protected them? it is my understanding that the "annoited" of the WT do eat the "bread" how can that be ok?

  i don't get that whole thing with the host. if jesus said "do this in remembreance of me" how could it be satanic? is jesus satan? was this a metaphor? if so did the apostiles eat? if jesus said to do anything, could it be satanic? isn't him saying to do it the best and only proof (to a charistian) that it is not satanic? if it is not flesh how is bread eating cannibalism? is this just more name calling? to call it canniblism means, to me, that you are saying that god made that bread flesh and if he made it flesh why not take it?

  i have done a study of world beliefs from, atheist to zoraster.

  this includes many wtbts writings, old & new.

  i couldn't agree more! 110% i only ment to say that a really clever guy can twist logic, that is all.
  i see,on TV, preachers name calling everyone who doesn't agree with them, i say to myself "is this guy teaching? or is he a propandist?" well i don't think he is fireing up the crowd to get them to think clearly. i think he is villianizing them. if the enemy is a physical one, it is easy to resist(like hitler or jews) but if the enemy is more abstract ilke following teachings like love everyone or judge not, it takes more self awarness and it is hard to say to yourself "i am a good man" the best i can do is "i try" but if someone was going to kill me or persecute me i think my faith would be stronger than steel. i would have some thing to resist! as it is it is hard to resit being angry at the wrongs done to me ( how can thay be even wrongs if i don't judge them) that is hard for me!!!
