i once posted here a copy of my empassioned plea to the watchtower society--i want my mother back.
well, i just wanted to let all of you know that i got her back for a whole 17 days, and we had one final adventure together before she died, and there wasn't a damned thing they could do about it.. my mother is, was, a long-term loyal jw and i was her disfellowshipped daughter.
i believe she was in an almost constant state of conflict over me because her very strong maternal instincts demanded she behave openly and lovingly toward me, while her wts-trained conscience demanded the opposite.
But this woman who was stronger and busier than 10 of me grew increasingly unwell within the last 2 years, and finally, with an elder's blessing, invited me to come see her and hinted that if I could help out at all with her care it would be much appreciated.
I’m happy you were able to get together, it is too bad they wanted until she had become useless to them. Still one persons burden is anthers joy and there is also love in the world.

This is the same thing the Catholics say. The people are the imperfect part of gods perfect origination. Get it now? The WTB&TS is Gods spirit directed origination, but no person involved in the org is spirit directed. Simple.

The birthday thing is just to separate the jws from mainstream Christians and has no real biblical foundation. So pleas don’t dig at the sand under the shiny ideal.
my family was raised in a very sincere christian home.
i have 2 sisters and have always been as close as best friends.
my little sister (30) a year ago met a man.
He will go to counceling with the JW church and so my sister seems to be going along with it because she wants to stay with this abusive man. My sister has always put her family and her children first until she met him. Now she says that we are too controling and that it is normal to not spend time with your family when you have a new relationship. None of her words seem to be her own. What can I do to reach her?
I’m not sure how much you know about the JW sect, both your sister and her husband are in a very dangerous high control cult. The changes taking place within your sister and her family are a direct result of intentional and effective conditioning. Any overt move you make to brake her away from the cult will be turned against you and you may lose the “game” before it really ever starts. Your sisters behavior is now becoming a pathology, her ability to make rational decisions is being replaced with “group think”. The best advise I can give you is to read and read and read and read about the WTB&TS on this site and every other one you can find. Keep posting here, it’s a good place to vent or find help from people who know where you are coming from. Get ready Alice your not going to believe where this rabbit hole will take you. Good luck.

do you think that jw's are integrating more into society these days or not making any progress?.
i went to a rock concert in a park on satuday night, and i saw 2 young jw's there.
their parents are jw's and the father is an elder and they go to every meeting and go out in the service regularly.. that concert was to raise money for ex-alcoholics and ex drug attics and people following therapy for this.. i've been going to that concert to raise money once a year, since over 10 years, and never saw 1 jw there in the past.. i was very surprised to see them there.
Not for the R&F-- The kids of and elder can do anything dady has the power to allow, but that's not new.
the bible speaks of several resurrections and several places.
how are these reconciled by christians?.
will people continue to live on earth, and if so will there still be death?.
noone knows-- new earth, new bodys... noone know what the heck that is.

You know that was his own fault, He said “if he exists”. that is surly putting the lord our god to the test.
Now what we need is a few good Christians to go in and give witness to the glory of god. Truly they will remain unharmed if there faith is great enough.
Or the lions will fill up on the first ones and the last will be made first and the lambs of god will lie with the lions, at least until breakfast.

I remember this, as I recall it, JW pitchmen bad mouthing the use of piñata was seen as a hindrances by management, so the instructions came down, as they do.
As I read it, The article is instructions for JW pioneers to lay off the piñata in public, but as far as the rank and file JW no change.
