  But of late I have regrettably observed that others I had once appraised as worthy associates have cultivated and displayed dispositions consistent with and manifest by a self benevolent, self admiring non Christian mind set that has degenerated to a
  point that I will not expose my self to any longer. IM not talking about religion here. In want of an ameliorated and seasoned term, most here have become bad associates, as i interpret the concept to mean.To most if not all here, this will mean naught, it will be abated off as another one bites the dust, go back to your kingdom hall and be a flying insect like the rest of them .Unfortunately to me this means loosing a group of people that i daily for the past 4 years, have used to hone my representation as a Christian and have relied upon to, as we Aussie say, Keep
  the bastards honest.My deep sentiment here was partly initiated although not exclusively so, by the reponses i received from a post i composed yesterday, regarding an incident in my past.May i state here, im not overly sensitive. I now regard that my active participation in this community has become frustrated and is of no value to me or the group.Until the time comes that this forum ceases to betray what i believe Simons purposes were for birthing it, and is consolidated into something that even loosely correlates to that vision, i will be

  I found this good bible site a long time ago but I think it's still one of the best free bible sites online. I noticed you seem interested others thoughts on scripture, well, you will find the site offers multiple commentaries on every book of the bible. I think you might enjoy the commentaries.

  rev 1:8; 17-18; 22:13 states that jesus christ is the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, and the beginning and the end.

  i don't think it is true that all jw's will say that rev 1:17 refers to jehovah.

  Sorry COMF, I guess I over generalized your statement, but never having heard of a God or gods that maid rational sense or helped explain anything in the natural world, it was an easy mistake to make.

  If You have a concept for a God/s that makes rational sense I would sure like to hear it.

  My statement as to what love is; some people worship love as there God and some people believe love is an emotion.

  If there is no evidence for God how could belief in God be rational?

  Okay, I give up. How does a concept that doesn't make rational sense help you better understand anything?

  Spoken like a true atheist. "God" -- talk about a concept that doesn't make rational sense or help us understand anything....... Still rational people and people who believe in God agree it's good to love, thay just disagree about what love is.

  I hope all's well with you.
  It is my understanding that bible study using the bible alone or the bible along with material published by any corporation other then the WTB&TS is forbidden. A probable DFing caring the sentence of excommunication now and annihilation at Christ's second visible coming if the witness has not been reinstated to good standing by then.

  I would have to say that the WT very much counts on witness to do there homework, of course, using study aids that substitutes for scripture, carry the weight of law and that's right, is published by the WT corp.
  the WT publishes what I, as a rational person, can only view as intentional misquotes in periodical after periodical. One may be a mistake two might be sloppy research but scores on a steady basis, can be only one thing, a technique.
  False statements supported by false evidence tells me something about the speaker and it's not he "didn't know," nor has it anything to do with dim light.

  rather, it is because tony blair has proven to be a stand-up statesman who has been able to work well with two very different us administrations, clinton then bush ... while keeping his own moral clarity and vision.

  if tony blair represents the majority of british sentiments, then the usa can thank its lucky stars as having such a close friend and ally ... and americans need to better appreciate our british brethern.

  I took my ass to England during the gulf war, my MOS was special security, we flew sorties day and night from our base, kicked ass and I was a part of it. I never said we were bad, I said were there. if you refuse to factor that political reality into the equation you can't clam to see the whole picture.

  I'm not going to try to reenlist now, I'm too old to go to Iraq, that is unless we run out of young guys, then I'll re-up. Until then I'll rest on my status as a veteran of a foreign war.

  What is the difference between 1000 English and 1000 Iraqis? Nothing, they are all foreigners.

  i would like to hear from anyone who subscribes to my believe in creation as the bible states, however when jehovah realized that earthly man was a complete screw up, and that he would eventually turn out this way, he immediatly started all over again 5000 light years away, and the second time around he's got it right.. somewhere in the universe there is a perfect race of people created in gods image enjoying what the dubs think is going to happen to them lol.. what do you all think?

  "Jehovah" is not an all knowing unchanging God, he is the maker who got it wrong on his first try.

  "Jehovah" is in time "immediately", Jehovah is imperfect "the second time he's got it right" ( if he F-ed up so bad the first time why would I think he got it right the second time? Is it practice makes perfect?)
  
  If he got it right the second time the, why would he make "perfect people" experience the living hell of the eternal subservant grass eating maintenance man that the JWs think will happen to them?

  This God could not have been the God Jesus called father.
