Okay, I could say something crass here about pizza topping, but I won't. A very bizarre turn of events, to be sure.

Hi, Scummy, I attended the hall in Hingham, MA. I was baptized in Natick. Sorry, I don't know your friends, although Mike Yarosh sounds familiar for some reason.

Does god love children?
by kelsey007 inmany people claim that the god of the bible loves children and fetuses.
but what does the bible say?
according to god's law, children are not persons but the property of their fathers, who may sell them as slaves.

Kelsey, some parents harm their children in awful ways (even torturing and killing them) and some honestly believe they have valid reasons to.
If Jesus was acting just like his Father while he was on earth, he surely wasn't mimicking the God of the OT, who is cruel and vindictive.
I don't claim to have the answer, but I do have faith that the one who created us all sees exactly what's going on and won't let it go on forever.

I'd rather have the weight of existing in a pineapple pizza and donut hell than the weight of saving mankind on my shoulders. hehe

I hate the Troof

Nordie, the same thing happens to me when I tell wordly people that I have stopped with the troof. My non-jw sister, for example, was ecstatic and actually forgave me for the 30 years that I shunned her. She said, "You thought that you were doing the right thing." I have found more love and forgiveness being outta the troof than I did when I was in it.

Huh? What's that you say? Okay, okay, I think I got it. You hate the troof, the last meeting you attended was the memorial and you refuse to go to any more. Am I right?
If so, Cool!

I had a rock thrown at me when I was about seven by the neighborhood bully. It struck me smartly on my right shoulder blade. I was discriminated against by my peers because I was born in another country. I was picked on because I was different. Yes, kids can be very, very cruel and I find that a lot of them haven't been taught the most basic of manners. It was so refreshing to watch a news short about children being taught table manners the other day. Too bad it's not the norm.
Kelsey, you mention that the Bible, and not the Creator, may be wrong. That still doesn't answer the many questions that have been brought up.
Who are we to say? God created us to have the feelings that he has. Maybe it's just difficult for us to understand that he knows more than we do. I believe that he will take care of things when he knows it's the right time. It's his ball park and he can make the rules.

DO YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF?
by minimus inare you pretty much satisfied with yourself or do you feel unhappy, as a rule?

Nah, I rarely feel good about myself. I guess the depression and low self-esteem get in the way. This is how I've been since birth...my mom said that I was a Wednesday's Child, full of woe.
There are times when I am really happy and enjoy the people I am around. I love to have fun and play (probably the manic side of me). I don't know if that means I'm feeling good about myself, though.
