I just had an extremely embarrassing moment!

i had someone from this site (who i won't name) who sent me two e-mails.
this person told me that they read the post where i mentioned that i have had a rough time since i got to las vegas.

When my little ones were toddlers, I bought a children's cookbook that was published in England. I loved that book, for some reason and wore it out. One of the recipes was for Toad in the Hole. They really liked helping me make it and it is actually very good.
Thanks for the recipe, Nathan. Those were the ingredients I used. I remember!

God/Bible...why does it cause Anger/Bitterness?

Elsewhere, I think you've hit the nail right on the head. What other book causes so much anger and division? It doesn't bring people together. It is confusing and written so 'mysteriously' that it can be taken in so many ways.
When people think that they've actually deciphered it, they feel impelled to impose their beliefs on others. Isn't that what the bible tells you to do? Then the fights begin.

Does It Bother You Too??

i said to her that i am studing, doing research and trying to find my way and what i believe.. i said how mum said is pleading for me to go back to the meetings and i said to my sister that i cannot make up my own mind if i am at the meetings.
her reply was "the only way you can is at the meetings because that is where you get holy spirit from.".
