  i have read in different threads, comments to the effect of married dub males as being despotic, tyrannical lords of their domain.

  and i'm sure in many istances this is true.

  i had never heard of men (family heads) referred to in such terms before i became a dub.

  hmm, I did see that kind of stuff in the cong, however my situation was totally oposite.

  I couldnt go shopping and NO I couldnt tell the elders. I never called them for anything I just took the abuse up the ass!

  i have never been a jehovahs witness (i can't even spell it half the time).

  i am a practicing wiccan and have been for all of my life.

  i do not discuss my beliefs openly because of preconceived ideas that most people have.

  Now...on to the fun stuff.....It has been brought to my attention that somebody on the forum, a long standing member, feels I am stalking him. He has based this idea on the fact that I have only made 3 posts and two of them (NOT 3) were directed at him. (I really think that the beefstick comment was funny, he kind of opened the door for that one) I would also like to say that no, I am NOT your ex-wife, daughter or an old hired girlfriend. I have been happily married to the same man for 23 years and have no desire to meet you.

  I personally think that her welcome thread could have been made without that info.

  To fade or not to fade--Judicial question.

  i just got off the phone with one of the elders.

  they said that if i do go to the jc and ask them to help me understand why they believe certain stuff and then ask for a study i will probably not get df'd.

  i can "bow" down to them and do their little game if the results would help my family.. i love my family very much.

  They are just tickling your ears to get you to show up. It will be nothing but an inquisition when you get there. They are not going to help you understand anything because "you are babtised" and should already know the JW stand on the doctrins.

  This is very true.

  IMO if you have family still in it might be better to fade.

  singing at the meetings

  were any of you the really obnoxiosly loud singer at the meeting?

  that always used to make me laugh when somone who couldn't sing just belted it out in their horrible voice.

  or i used to love the husband and wife duos that thought they were all that as they sat and tried to harmonize.

  Ok since we are talking about singing....lol

  Once my ex was singing so loud that he spit all over the song book. I couldnt stop laughing I even snickered through the prayer and i got "the look" from everyone that could hear me.

  anybody's jw parents ever use that "don't spare the rod" song and dance as an excuse to beat the living shit out of you?

  my parents used to relish in the whole physical punishment thing.

  i guess the question i'm trying to get at is, do you think wts promotes and encourages physical violence in the home?
