well all bea helped me get my pic posted, but i am not sure if i like it.

it is from this summer and i was just hanging out at the mall of america with my friend, so i have my glasses on and i could look better, but anywho...it gives you an idea what i look like.

Are you bitter?

is it just me, or is "everyone" on this board bitter?.

i do know alot of happy jws and, i could not see them being anything else but jws.... .

this is just my take on what i have been reading on the boards sence i joined up...

I am not bitter. I use to be when I first left. But I am over that. I am so much happier knowing I got out as a young person and can experience and live my life and I am not stifled by unnecessary rules.

You are right, many JW appear to be happy. I use to appear that way, but I was not...

in the case of silent lambs versus the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. did you ever think that discussing these cases here accompanied by your vitriole against all things watchtower could be used to:.

1. show that ex jehovahs witnesses harbor such a hatred for the watchtower society that they will say anything to discredit them.. 2. show that there is a network of ex jehovahs witnesses that may have helped to create these abuse accusations in the alledged victims' minds or at least have encouraged them, even unwittingly, to exaggerate their claims.. i guarantee you that the watchtower society has documented every word anyone here has said, especially on this issue.

i can easily see a defense team using it to, if not exonerate accused molesters and the watchtower society, to at least create a reasonable doubt regarding their guilt.. if your hatred of the watchtower causes you to join in irrational behavior and accusations, you have to contemplate the fact that you may be adding to the future grief of any real victims.. i present this for your thoughtful consideration.. as always, i wish all here peace.. joel

I do not hate JW as a whole at all. I have never said that, but I do hate acts of violence against children. I know people that were still faithful JW that were abused by elders as children. They never came foward and never had been to therapists. So no one is telling them or feeding them this. It is coming from them. I know other religions have child molestors too, but no other religion claims to be as pure and the JW org and that is what angers me. They are just like all other religions, but teach people they are different. Child molestion is real Joel, no matter if you do not want to believe it, does not change that it happens and those that are the guilty ones, NEED to be punished and not harbored in a religion.

Joel, On a personal note, I am so surprised you posted this. You seemed like such a rational guy. I wish you the best in your journey. I hope denying your desires and mitch's is not too painful for you two....

i just wanted to see how many of you watched the survivor finale...and if so what did you think?

i am a survivor junkie and love it.

i cannot believe on survivor 4 they are giving the players no food water or fire.

slipnslide...I agree I think big tom should have won. He was a great guy and usually fun and light hearted. I could not believe that she dissed him twice. I think since he had the alliance he would have voted ethan no matter what. I cannot believe that only brandon and kim p voted for kim and they both came in voting for ethan, if kim would have not sucked up then ethan would have gotten all the votes...

I cannot believe on survivor 4 they are giving the players no food water or fire. Anyway, I wanted big tom to win, but ethan was my second choice. I think it was good. My story...well part of it anyway

it has occurred to me that ive been here long enough and have met many of you whose company i really appreciate.

i see people come in since i have been here and am inspired and impressed at the courage they have for giving their stories, their experiences and the freedoms they now have paid for by a cost that only a cult survivor can really appreciate.. so with that inspiration, here is my story.... i have very little memory of before i was 5. i do remember christmas morning one year to wake up to a ton of toys and that was cool.

i remember having my stomach pumped once because i got into some kerosene and thought id pour myself a glass.

What if I don't agree with Jesus?

let's say that one believes jesus was god's son, and that he was perfect, etc.. well, what about this: what if you don't agree with jesus, or god on many things.. i have never thought about that before.

what is your take?

interesting topic for the dating board...but anywho...Who says you have to agree with them. Who says the bible really is God's Word. Who really knows? If you do not believe in christ, then maybe you just aren't a christian but have a different spiritual path....

i am a survivor fan.

my husband is completely disgusted by the show but i'm hooked.

YEA!!! Another survivor fan. I love the show. I have been watching since the first one. During survivor one I only missed one episode and I have not missed any in two or three. I own the first two survivors tapes. Each one is 2 1/2 hours of survivor outtakes. It is great. I watched them back to back...5 hours of survivor. Did you know there is a board game and a computer game. I do not have them, but want them. Ok...take care. Enjoy tomorrow night...I will :)
