To Lotus - I have a heavenly hope
by Dawn inlotus - thanks for your post.
i know you'll get a lot of food throwing from us "not so patient" ex-jw's, but i'm sure your intentions are sincere.. i'm posting my response to your comments on being annointed here as i noticed that you are new and would probably see it here first.
however, may i suggest that if you would like to continue a discussion on these topics with me, let's move it to the "beliefs & doctrines" form as it's probably more appropriate.. that being said - you are not one of the "elect few" with a heavenly hope, but one of many.

It is up to you to enlighten yourself. Do not depend on others. In your search for enlightenment and peace, search for others who can help. If and when you find such souls, come together. Only then can your journey begin. -

The Kabbalah as you know it has been perverted to gain approval of this wicked systems icons. Madonna, Jeff Goldblum may think they practice the communication with the Angel Gabriel, but they are mistaken. It has been nothing but an influence of superstition and numerology, the Elohim Yan Jehovah can not be happy.

What is the most unBiblical teaching of the JWs?
by jerome init has been said that the jws hold to many beliefs that are unnsupported scripturally and inforce many 'unwritten' rules which they refer to as 'principles'.. i would like to start off the thread with what i think is the most important unbiblical teaching that they need to promote inorder to exist.. the watchtower teaches that "a prophet is able to make mistakes while he is speaking for god and still be considered as true.
mind you that these are not slips of the tounge but doctrines and predictions that have been promoted for years and have only been modified only after the watchtower had no choice but to change them.. this in my opinion is the most unscriptural teaching that the watchtower promotes.
if it werent for this teaching then the watchtower would most definately have to be marked as a false prophet!

Were the leaders of the Jehovahs trying to iterpret or trying to utter something that was given to them via revelations and private dreams, utterances of the Elohim that nobody else had?

Can Satan create life?
by peacefulpete inthe familiar tale of moses approaching pharoah with the demand to free israelite slaves has always purplexed me.
the account says that yhwh miraculously changed moses staff into a serpant but then just as miraculously pharoah's priests did likewise.
does this not "prove" that satan is equally capable of creating life from nothing?

The Apollyon is an agent of deception. This personage, as the Holy Book informs us, has mystical powers that we in this realm may never understand.

ANOINTED Jehovah Witness has no doubt,
by lotus inhello, i am new to this website, but have to be straightforward and say that i do not agree with most subjects and contents.
i am an active jehovah witness, but i am very lonely so i am looking for others with the "hope" or to speak to those that know someone that does.
it has been a long , hard road for me.

Do the Witnesses "manipulate" recruits?
by refiners fire indo they "mystically manipulate"people joining them?.
im inclined to say they dont.. they are almost unique in this.. practically every cult ive joined, i could recite a litany of manipulation techniques applied to me during my joining process.. the dubs study with people, systematically, unemotionally.. noone else does this in my experience.. people who join the dubs join under "intellectual conviction".. do you agree with this view or not??.
im most curious to hear opinions on this.
