I guess the answer based on all 3 of the above would be........... NO
However I might change my attitude if the elders felt obliged to answer to me !
this question is not to offend anyone, it's just that i have noticed people have many different reasons for leaving the borg and i thought it would be interesting to find out why some of you left.. for example:some leave because they want to be free to smoke, drink, gamble, fornicate, grow beards, celebrate xmas, take blood and drugs, etc.some leave because they never believed and now are old enough to do as they want.some leave because they have seen that they can be happy living life free from any religious organization, yet still feel safe in god's love.some have been hurt by the borg and have taken their wounds away to lick them, waiting to see justice.some have trusted the borg with their lives, time and money...........only to discover recently that there has been lies, cover-ups and hypocracy in the borg.
now they have left but need to belong to another organization to feel happy.. i left the borg because i found out about the cover-ups and lies.
my family was abused by it, my child was sexually abused and i was df'ed.
some have been hurt by the Borg and have taken their wounds away to lick them, waiting to see justice .Not holding my breath on the justice thing though .

That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Precisely, it was those dots ... the WBTS used in their publications, when quoting from other sources, or even their own earlier publications. When I started researching the WBTS's own publications, and discovered that those dots represented whole sentences, paragraphs, and in some cases, entire pages of missing text, I could not believe my eyes. Many times the missing text, totally changed the gist of the quote. I was shocked. I felt so betrayed. THOSE LYING, DECEITFUL, CONNIVING BASTARDS ! They have been altering information all these years to make it appear that the sources they were quoting from, held a similar viewpoint, when in many cases it was actually contradictory ! ( their evolution books were a prime example )
And the WBTS claim to be the spokesperson for god, through the FDS ? To reuse a quote I saw on this board a few weeks ago that was originally attributed to a poster called MindChild: " If there really is a god, and these people represent him, that god is one dumb shit "
As for belonging to another organization to feel happy ? Sure. Perhaps a volunteer or social club, but I will never put my trust in another religious organization again.

If you are concerned about spies, I would just keep a low profile and not give out too many personal details about yourself, especially when it comes to sharing personal stories. I am happy to see that you are not being shunned, and you would like to keep it that way.
As for Paranoia. I would say you are cautious and prudent.
The real paranoid ones are the jw's who come to this board to spy !

Yup. Ya know you're getting old, when they start remaking all the movies, that you saw when you were a kid. OK well at least movies, that came out when you were a kid, because god knows you weren't allowed to see most of them.

it`s been a busy week.i`ve left my lakeside cabin and moved to a beautiful ranch house.this place is big.large spacious rooms, large to medium windows everywhere,over looking just incredible scenery.the view from every window looks like an old western painting.a great big airtight fireplace sits between my well equiped kitchen and a gi-normis living room.the rancher sits on 16acres of ranch land surounded by other ranch`s.grazing pasture that go`s on forever.two lakes behind the house,another about 1/4mile away.a beautiful forrest that frames the pastures.
a herd of well maintained horse`s,that wander past my property.moose so big,they step over a 4ft fence,and more wild life than zoo..i thought i was in the middle of nowhere before,this place is a 1/2 hr drive from nowhere,lol!..
