  alright, so what is the deal with the thousands coming to the states right at election time seeking asylum?

  i'm not up on this, usually try not to be, but how can this not be manipulative?

  it's either manipulative in the size of the group and pressure that creates, or in where it started or who started this, etc.

  Being part of a caravan is really a dumb thing to do if you really wish to disappear into the US from south of the border. It puts you in the bullseye.

  Being a native south Texan, and being in a Spanish congregation for 3 years, I've heard many stories, first hand, about paying the coyote, floating across the Rio Grande, camping in the Texas wilderness and and meeting up with the coyote associates at a convenient store to be driven to San Antonio, Dallas, or Houston. A nice tall wall will only take a ladder and rope, easier to defeat than the Rio Grande

  A huge group at the border, especially with the current administration makes NO sense.

  I say we do a big hands across America conga line and force the caravan to go on through to Canada. Let them be Simon's problem.

  Trump loves the Saudis. He tends to love dictators that are antithetical to free speech.

  His "rogue killers" offering was not surprising to see for the absolutely disgusting regime that is the Saudi royal family.

  But do understand, center-right Obama would not have done anything different. He always kept the status quo as well.

  Go to war? No.

  Treat Saudi Arabia as the bad actor that it is? Yes. But there is no need to do drone strikes on schools and hospitals in SA.

  As long as SA has plenty of money to hand out, the corrupt political whores in charge will gladly play along.

  Wacky Baccy Eh! Cannabis Now Legal in Canada

  so canada has legalized pot / marijuana / cannabis and you can go to stores today and buy some.

  the local news is covering it here in calgary with crowds of thousands expected at one of only 2 stores licensed in the city but last i saw, there were only 7 people in the line so who knows how popular it will be.

  i imagine all the people who really wanted to get it could already get it easily so this is more about expanding the market to new users who will be less inclined to queue for hours on day 1.. apparently you'll also be able to purchase online with discreet delivery by canada post.

  Eldub BIL, and Df'ed Kid's!!!!

  my super fine eldub bil, has a son that's been df'ed for a long time.

  last month he deeded off 1/4 of an acre of land in the back of his pasture, bought a small local built used tiny house, and got it all set up, for his son to live in.

  to everyone of the jw's in this area really look up to him and his stand on having nothing to do with his df'ed kid's or grandkids.

  I've seen this more than once.

  A well-off elde, steps down temporarily while his dfd son "is kicked out of the house".

  This is when the elder rents him an apartment, pays all of his bills, provides a car, and a credit card. Then, he get's back on the elder list. "Hey, he's not under MY roof."

  Meanwhile poor elders keep their destitute dfd son in their house, and do not serve as elders for several years.
