The democrats are bad, the republicans are good. I'm learning a great deal from this thread.

Semi-autos with high capacity magazines are weapons of mass destruction.
Their ubiquity plays the key role.
I feel the same way about Trump that Sam Harris does.
Does he play a role in mass shootings? perhaps a minuscule one
But they'll continue to happen long after he's out of office.
I personally believe that having another black president, for instance, will make the situation worse, not better.

Theocratic Ministry School
by tresdecu inso the tms....does anyone think it might ever go away?
possibly being replaced by a borg streaming presentation that's required viewing from home?
it seems to me that with the congregation merging and sell-off that's going on, there are going to be 4 maybe 5 congregations sharing some khs.

The renamed TMS is here to stay.
It gives the RandF homework to do, keeps them busy, doing talks, doing substitute talks, keeps you mentally distracted.

The tale of two worlds
by redvip2000 ini saw this picture today, not sure you saw it as well, but couldn't resist sharing.
it basically shows the existing fence between usa and mexico.
apparently someone installed some see-saws on the fence so that children on both sides can play together.

Thanks for helping us appreciate who the dirty nasty Mexicans are. Excellent investigative work. Wonderful post. Neat Blue Dog's insightful comment about dog training ... my brain is in recovery mode now from taking in all these high level ideas.

If this was a man....
by Doctor Who incardi-b, who is an american rapper, singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality, admits in an old video of drugging and stealing from men.
if the roles were reversed, do you think this would be a front page story instead of being buried on the back page?
why isn't the progressive left demanding justice?
-

"the progressive left" "the radical left" "the left" "the right" "alt-right" "right wing" "conservative"
"worldy people" "worldlings" "not Witnesses" "aren't Witnesses" "doesn't love Jehovah"
People, including those who have been victimized by cults, often try to discuss ideas for ideas sake, yet their words give away their tribalism, the in-group/out-group biases that blind, that polarize, and prevent idea interchange.

Do You See "The Elephant In The Room" At This JW Regional Convention?
by JW GoneBad insomeone posted this image on their facebook page of a recent jw rc showing a rather petite group of baptismal candidates.
notice there are nearly 75 seats (5 rows) reserved for the occasion.
by my count...it looks like between 17 to 19 were baptized...with total attendance of 6,000. the youngest among them looks like between 9 and 11 years old.

John the Baptist should have been quoted as saying: "Sorry, I only baptize at conventions, you'll need to put your relationship with the creator of the universe on hold for the next six months."
But he wasn't.

A Wide-ranging discussion both fascinating and sometimes enlightening
by TerryWalstrom inrubin is a gay atheist formerly affiliated with the young turks, ben shapiro is an orthodox jew who mainly comments on politics from a conservative pov.
dr. jordan b peterson is a professor of psychology at the university of toronto, a clinical psychologist, a public speaker.____none of these men is interested in discussing politics in this discussion, rather in centering on the overlap between rational, secular belief and any underlying religious truth which may be hidden in mythos.i know that sounds like the most boring thing possible--but--i assure you it is riveting.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ophwshr798&t=3112sif you watch through to the last hour, the topic is brilliantly deconstructed with an honesty and intelligence rarely witnessed in live events..

How ironic.
Shapiro has said more than once that he wouldn't go to a Jew/ non-Jew wedding.
Ahh. Religious bigotry at its finest.
But yet let's promote him on THIS forum?

It's sad to come on a site supposedly dedicated to exJW discussion and see this vapid tripe as the most active thread.
