  MARTHA'S VINEYARD ANYONE???????

  anyone from martha's vineyard congregation?

  that's pretty much where it all began with me and the "truth" , would love to chat regarding people, places and things from times past.

  i walked out back in 1997 (i was not living on the island at that time), and would love to hear from only those that have also left the jw"s from the island.

  hey where did you stay for your honeymoon tinkerbell? i lived in vineyard haven for a time and also edgartown. it really is a beautiful place but holds so many memories of me starting in the truth and slowly losing my own thought processes. i quit college and began to pioneer there at 20. what a waste!!!! i would like to finnish my education some day, but right now i'm working and trying to support myself. that group took alot from me and i don't want them to take anymore. it certainly has been one hell of a ride leaving the organization. but FREEDOM has been worth it.

  Any Brooklyn Bethelites from '93 - '98?

  i guess i should introduce myself for i am a new poster-boy :-) my name is jason howard and i currently reside in santa cruz, california.

  i spent the first 24 years of my life as a jw, starting in danbury, ct, then to fayetteville & charlotte, nc, and finally brooklyn, bethel, where finally all of my negative inner thoughts and feelings were confirmed.

  (from the ages of 14-24 i always felt something just didn't add up with the organization, but i could never quite put a finger on it) i spent my career at bethel in the brooklyn warehouse/purchasing departments and worked with some really great individuals.

  hi, does anybody know a jim lutrell? he was in brooklyn bethel about 5 years and left to marry a pioneer sister in 1987 or thereabouts.

  he also had a brother who also served. also anyone know mike murphy? last time i saw him he was at patterson in '93.

  Dub Memories, Part 2

  at the end of part two, i moved to a suburb on the outskirts of one of africas richest cities, johannesburg.

  here, suddenly, instead of the pallor and grime of rural south africa, beautiful mansions, bmws, and stylishly dressed people suddenly surrounded us.. .

  my family felt a bit left out, since we werent exactly very well off when we arrived.

  GREAT STORY AND IT WAS VERY CAPTIVATING!!! I RELATE TO SO MUCH--ESPECIALLY THE FEELING OF LOSS OF CLOSE FRIENDS THAT YOU'VE HAD FOR YEARS AND HOW THEY'RE GONE IN A SECOND. THE WTBS IS SO FAR FROM CHRISTIAN.

  IT SEPARATES PEOPLE FROM LOVED ONES, FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND FROM THEMSELVES. WHEN I WAS HAVING "SERIOUS DOUBTS" I USED TO ASK MYSELF "IF JESUS WERE HERE WOULD HE DO THAT OR SUPPORT THAT?" AND THE ANSWERS WERE "NO NO AND NO". IT WAS CLEAR I DIDN'T BELONG ANYMORE, AND I KNEW TOO MUCH NOW TO RETURN.

  IT'S BEEN A LONG AND HARD PAINFUL ROAD BUT ABSOLUTLEY WORTH IT!!!!!

  I THINK YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE GOOD AND DECENT PEOPLE, AND I'M SO GLAD WE HAVE MET. IF I KNEW "APOSTATES" WERE THIS MUCH FUN, I WOULD HAVE LEFT LONG BEFORE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN YORK, MAINE FOR THE " SUMMER'S END APOSTAFEST".

  i guess the throw-away size stuff is handier to ... well, throw away).

  I HEARD THAT THE "DOWNSIZING" AT BETHEL WAS REALLY A PURGING OF ALL THOSE THERE OF "QUESTIONABLE" ALLEGIANCE TO THE WTBS. SIMILAR TO WHAT HAPPENED BACK IN 1980? HOWEVER I CAN'T CONFIRM THIS. DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR FACT??????

  MAN, READING THAT BULL SH@#--I MEAN TRACT--MADE ME SICK TOO. I WAS RECRUITED AT 20 WHEN GOING TO SCHOOL. GUESS WHAT I DID? WELL I WON'T KEEP YOU WAITING. I QUIT AND PIONEERED--SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!!! AFTER "SERVING GOD" AS A PIONEER AND BEING MARRIED TO AN ELDER AND PIONEER WITH ALL THE "PRIVILEGES" , I REALIZED IT WAS CRAP AND NOT THE TRUTH. I FOUND MYSELF IN MY MID 30'S TRYING TO FIND A JOB AND SUPPORT MYSELF. PUTTING DOWN PIONEERING DOESN'T DO MUCH ON A RESUME. BUT I'VE SURVIVED AND AM TRYING TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION. I'VE BEEN ON MY OWN NOW FOR 4 YEARS AND THANKS TO ALL THE "WORLDLY, SATANIC, AND APOSTATE PEOPLE", I'VE GOTTEN SOME GREAT SUPPORT. I LOVE THIS SITE AND AM STILL KIND OF NEW HERE, BUT I ENJOY IT AND OFTEN FIND IT THERAPEUTIC TO VISIT THIS SITE.

  next week begins the two part series on disfellowshipping.. i cannot say more at this time about my activities regaurding these two meetings.. i will however (with a blessing or two, a prayer, and gwens help) have a little surprise in two weeks.. all i can say is.....damn that tape hurts when you rip it off.. .
