Hi my names josephus, and i am an apostate.
by josephus inwell this is the day.. i mentioned to my mum that i read a good book recently about dates, and cronology.. she blew up and told me i was just trying to read anything that attempts to disprove jws.. apparently i am like those apostates, and people didnt want to talk to my because of it.. "this is the truth", she said.. well i am now an apostate.
it doesnt feel as bad as i thought it would.. josephus

Shooting.....Factory in Goshen, Indiana
by dubla inits not too often that this magnitude of a tragedy hits our small neck of the woods, but this one is big.
apparently a disgruntled employee burst into a factory (nu wood), and shot around 35 employees......no details on the shooter yet, or the casulties.
the factory is located in goshen, which is about 10 miles from my office here in elkhart, indiana.

Why can some question and others not
by joelbear inwe are not jehovah's witnesses because of a variety of circumstances, but one thing we all share is that we question.. what factors come together to make us questioners?.
intelligence?
but i know a lot of very smart non-questioning jehovah's witnesses.. bravery?

It's just dawned on me...
by Billygoat in...that jw's have a hard time forgiving others because they themselves are rarely forgiven for their own sins.
according to their beliefs jehovah keeps track of every detail of your life...good and bad.
that even if you are humble and repent of your sins, that there is still no true forgiveness until the new system.

sorry for being jerky towards you. sometimes I act stupid. I'm really sorry about your relationship with your dad. Maybe if you try to find a common ground with him, well its just a thought. I loved my dad very much (I lost him a couple of years back) and I don't know what I would have done without his love and advise. I wish you had the same. I think communication is done better in person, instead of by email. Hope someday you two can patch things up.

I understand your point. Thanks for writing that long post. It made me think.
I have one more comment. There are many black and white areas today that are directly handled biblically. For example, you should not kill, should not steal etc. Those are clear. But there are also many gray areas that are handled by the Service department of the WT. They try to weigh those gray areas with Bible laws and principles. There have been many adjustments and I have to say that Jehovah will judge even the organization for mistakes.
