Actually, there is not a file on each and every publisher. There's only a file if you've been disfellowshipped, if you have a priviledge in the congregation, or if you've written to the Society.

I'll bet you money he hates doing the door to door work.Actually you would loose that bet. I guess I'm one of the weird ones that actually enjoyes the house to house work, even the informal witnessing at businesses, laundrymats, and parking lots. I enjoy talking with people. I really do enjoy talking about Jehovah and the Biblical hopes. It's very satisfying. If the brother that accompanies me doesn't stop me, I will speak at each door. Like I said I'm one of those weird ones.
I don't believe for it a second when he says this little adventure has strengthen his faith in the religion.Well believe it. Don't get me wrong, I do read the posts and I analize the information presented. In some things, I agree with what is posted, but for some reason certain things do not affect me like it does others. For example, the UN thing. I can see how someone could be affected by it, but to me it's just not a big deal. I belive the explanation that the Watchtower gave on the matter.

That's not the point. I wanted to prove to myself that what the Watchtower says about apostates is true.
There are more ex-witnesses than active witnesses.There's more that 6 million ex-witnesses? I doubt it.

BTW: Originally I did come to the board to do research on my own faith, and it has really helped me. I wanted to see the other side of the argument, even if it means not following the counsel given in the publications. But really instead of making be doubt the Organization more, it's done the opposite. And that's the truth, without being a smart ass.

i know i said i wouldn't post here again because of the way i made everyone upset over alanf,but i thought you all might want to know what took place and i do need some advice.. .
yesterday i took a little time out to talk with jehovah's witnesses.
at first they were more than happy to answer my questions.
If they want your questions in writing, their answers should also be in writing.
Actually, this is the procedure that the Watchtower prefers.

Don't feel bad about the conversation you had with the Witnesses. They were probably newbies or just not that experienced. Don't be afraid of an elder either, what can he do? I mean if something happens you can always dial 911, right?
I agree that Witnesses can be a bit paranoid, but with so many weirdos out there, who isn't?

in all probability, the bible that you have does not have the name jehovah in it, anywhere.
we too have a fraternity, a brotherhood, gods family is what we are, and if anyone dishonors the congregation by conduct unbecoming a minister of god, shunning, or disfellowshipping as we call it, is gods means to deal with such ones.. q 7: how can a person isolate themselves if you chose to knock on peoples doors outside your religion?

Will Power: No that's not it. In the Proclaimers book it goes over the Witness history and how they were chosen by Jehovah in 1919.

I don't mean to argue with you. I would really like to speak with the brother, researcher in bethel, that told you what you allege. What is the difference between calling you and getting the name of the brother and you emailing me the information? Unfortunately I am at work at this time and I cannot make long distance calls without logging in the call as a business call. Email is just easier for me. Please provide the information and that way I can prove to myself that what you say it true.
