Mimilly,
Sorry, I don't have any answers for you. Just wanted you to know I share your concern. (((Hugs))) to you and Beth.
I'm glad you are going to insist on further investigation, surely there is some clinical reason behind her latest incident.
my oldest daughter, beth, had her second episode yesterday and i'm now officially worried and am looking for someone in the medical community or someone who recognizes these symptoms.. her very first seizure was a febrile seizure, due to a high temp when she was a year old.
i doubt this has anything to do with the present stuff.. a few months ago, she fainted at work and seizured on the stairs, was taken by ambulance to the er.
she came home looking beat up from banging her head on the stairs, with a mild concussion.. yesterday, when she went to get on the bus, she felt it coming on again, and while she was able to somehow ward of the 'seizure', she blacked out before she could pay her fare.

Welcome Carlitos.
Yes, it is interesting that when we leave the JW's we meet people in the so-called 'world' that show more love and compassion that those former JW friends we had. People who can express more true feeling and caring for others that they associate with on a daily basis...without any of the rules and regulations imposed on them by a controlling legalistic organization.
I hope you enjoy your freedom; and expressing yourself on the forum.

Carolbell,
A very warm welcome to you too. I recently attended a family funeral where active JW's displayed the same mocking attitude you described. Sad, and pitiful isn't it?
I'm sorry you have had to see your son become involved in this dangerous religion, and that you saw just how ingrained he is with their unscriptual doctrines during his own daughter's hospitalization.
I know it must be causing you untold personal pain.
Glad you joined in, and look forward to hearing more from you.
he is a "babe magnet" .
yes, those that met me over the weekend at the silentlambs vigil know that in person i am a shy and reserved type.
when it came to picture taking time..who could resist.
JukieF,
Thanks for telling it like it is, haha, your comments put a BIG smile on my face.
iam pleased to report, my jw daughter called me this morning.. needless to say i was thrilled to hear from her.
as many of you know to well, it is a small blessing, but huge when it's coming from an active jw.. i have decided to leave off talking anything jw related, and just enjoy getting caught up on the latest in her life.. there is hope.. danny
Joy, Joy, Dannybear,
I think that when you once again meet up with your daughter, and exchange father-daughter hugs, it will all fall into place.
We have all learned so much since our own disenchantment with the ol' Tower, it's easier for us to now accept our family without rocking the boat.
I'm very happy for you Dannybear, and please keep us posted as to how your reunion is going.
please visit cnn's larry king live site at http://www.cnn.com/cnn/programs/larry.king.live/index.html and submit a show topic on the order of the dateline segment.
maybe they'll consider it with enough requests.. thanks,.

Seven,
Thanks for the suggestion - I'll definitely follow through and make a request.

i am surprised that people have been asking about me.
i just want to assure everybody that i am fine.
Gilwarrior,
Good to have you back, and in such fine spirits too.
at about 6:30 this evening my mother passed away.. .
the best mother and the best wife anybody could ever be blessed with.
she was not only my mother, she was my friend.
Dear Amanda,
What a beautiful testimony as to the special woman your mother was. We are sorry for your loss - it is the so-well expressed attributes of your dear mother that will infuse and sustain you during your grief.
Warm and caring (((hugs))) to you Amanda. Please feel free to e-mail me if you just need to talk. Love, ZZ
just received this email from my cousin and had a good laugh.
sometimes it don't pay to be too hoity-toity!

Plum - just wanted to add - don't worry about the 5 cups of oatmeal, you will be putting it into a blender, and the resulting texture isn't at all like typical oatmeal cookies. I guess you could think of it as 'oatmeal flour'.

True enough, it is an urban legend.
However, it is a delicious cookie, and I have made it several times - so go ahead and try it. In fact, it is better than the chocolate chip cookies Nieman Marcus actually serves at their restaurants. (A recipe they provide free of charge, btw) and I believe it is posted on their web-site.
so, you are 3/4 of a century.
wow, but i am not very far from there.. happy birthday!!.
btw, how was that big bbq?.
A VeRy HaPPy BiRthDAY to you, Grace.
