Froggy, Glad Zach is okay!. Believe me, as a mother of three - I had many such days. Once, the school phoned me to report my son's absence- since I worked close to my home - my boss let me run home to check - I looked all over the house - no son- I want to the bathroom to 'go' before I phoned the police - I don't know what made me to it - but I pulled back the shower curtain - there was my son! He had played hookey from school - and when he heard me unexpectedly come home - he only had time to hide in the shower to hide. I was so relieved yet ticked, but later had to laugh. They are now all grown - but I STILL have concerns when I think they are late - or I can't reach them on the phone - a parent's "curse", me thinks:)

So the school calls me to ask if Zach is home sick...panic sets in...
by FreedomFrog ini sent him off to school this morning and i didn't walk all the way down where i normally do because he's 8 and gets a tad embarrassed that his mom still walks down with him.
so for the most part, i sit on my steps at my appartment trying to listen if i hear him scream.
well, i just watched "without a trace" were a child missed her bus and she was kidnapped and at the end of the story they found her dead.

Larc and I never missed an episode of the "Equalizer" We always watched the show together. I also liked Spencer for Hire - evern though they were acting, the main chaacters seemed genuinely in love...great casting. Cagney and Lacy was also one of my favorites, too. Two very different women, but boy how they 'meshed' on screen.. Great supporting cast also. Saturday nights it was always great - All in the Family, the Bob Newhart shoe and the sometimes silly Bridget Loves Bernie.

PROOF JESUS DIED ON A CROSS
by Mary inwarning: some might find the descriptions here disturbing.
even though there is overwhelming evidence that jesus died on a cross and not an upright state, the organization still stubbornly clings to this feeble idea, siting of course, the ridiculous notion that, because the cross was a 'pagan symbol', jesus couldn't have died on it.
as if the romans gave a damn that the cross was pagan.

Mary, Thank you so very much for this information - my oldest daughter is a radiologist - she read your info with great interest and, in fact, had me send it to her pc, so she can print it out for her class. I think she plans to show it to a JW who is in her class, LOL.

I posted this info on Danny Hazards' post re Juliana Dever a couple of days ago. BUT, since it is long buried - I will repeat this news. Juliana Dever has a website - and an e-mail addy: [email protected] I e-mailed her suggesting she come to JWD and check us out for research for her upcoming screenplay. Perhaps a few more people can do the same?

You can e-mail her directly at: [email protected] I sure hope she checks this forum out! Perhaps a few more people can e-mail her?

FLUER DE LIS WALLPAPER = TRINITY VISITING CO SUGGESTS IT MUST GO
by ZazuWitts ini can count on one hand the number of times i have spoken to larc's sister since his death last fall... she will briefly chat if i make the effort to phone her - but doesn't call me.
yesterday, i did phone her - to tell of her of some family news that i felt she should know.
she told me they had spent the labor day removing wallpaper, that was already in the home when they moved in.

Yes, Steve, please I would love to have those pixs - i can send them over to my son's pc since I can't print them out w/ my web-tv. Blondie, thanks for your research - most interesting! If you knew my SIL - you would know why she didn't just paint over it - Think of 'Hyacinth Bucket' on Keeping up Appearances - and you'll get the idea. Btw, when I mentioned if they could grow iris flowers in their gardens - I was met with a huge sigh and then silence...her typical response when I bring up something she doesn't want to hear. Mumbling and then silence - if I push it too far she will just quietly disconnect.

She told me they had spent the labor day removing wallpaper, that was already in the home when they moved in. But the interesting part was that this was because they had had the visiting CO over for dinner, and he informed her that the fluer de lis pattern represented the trinity, as well as French royalty, so he suggested they might want to remove i! Just another example of petty rules, IMO. I couldn't help but ask if they are not allowed to grow iris floweers in their gardens, either:)

What ended your first relationship?
by Dune ini'm in a relationship now and its my first serious one.
she keeps telling me that she's scared because she believes i'll eventually get bored with her and start wondering how it feels like with other women.
so she wants me to hook up with other girls when she goes out of the country for the fall semester.. personally i dont want to, but this is making me wonder, in the average person's first ,serious relationship, whats the cause of the breakup?

Since it was more than 55 years ago, LOL, I can say it was because the man was a lousy kisser - and that's the truth!

Oh, NO! Lisa has made such valuable contributions to this forum. Her intelligence and wit will be sorely missed. I for one, hope that she is just taking a well-deserved break. ((((LDH))))
