  Evidence for Evolution?

  all historical and archeological evidence aside, the biggest evidence that convinced me evolution is factual is speciation (also called "micro-evolution").

  this is the transformation of one species into two such that the two can no longer interbreed.

  there is no need for historical evidence to prove this -- cases of speciation have actually been observed.

  We are only talking semantics here. It is obvious that even though humans are considered one species there is just as much diversity as in the animal kingdom. In the animal kingdom they would call such diversity species or breeds. Amongst humans such diversity is called races. Races are also sometimes called breeds.

  The special nature of man is reason enough God made him different.

  Diversity just became common among mankind as man began liberally intermarrying.

  If man were the product of evolution then it should be possible to interbred with apes from whence evolution says we from. There would be these many missing links you are speaking of.

  It is only because if man supposedly evolved from primitive man, primitive man should have continued to exist through different lines of descendency with that of modern man. This absence is only because the truth is God designed and created man all through the original human pair.

  The assumption that members of different species within kinds not being able to interbreed is erroneous. Even though different species if of the same kind interbeeding will be possible. If the limits of a kind is reached as with lions and tiger crosses and donkeys and horses then the offspring will be sterile. They therefore are incapable of further breeding.

  Crazy151drinker,

  The notion that there is not a full range of variation amongst humans as there is amongst animals is false. Such variation does indeed exist. The variation amongst human must stay within the bounds of being human as you seem to be mplying should be possible.

  As we observe amongst liberal societies every spectrum of color and features from white to black and from European to African. The fact that it is racist to breed humans amongst their own kinds as we do with animals morally prevents us at attempting to categorize humans outside of the broadest classifications.

  Why not. Ben Cartwright is just the kind of man you would want to take advice from regardless of his education. Unlike these pseudo intellectuals like yourself.

  About the universe, science, etc , you have no appreciation that men spoke about many things that would otherwise have no way of knowing except through the inspiration of God. Please see my thread on the silver cord as an example.

  You are determined to never apologize for anything. You are dead wrong about the lack of education by the Bible writers and refuse to admit it. You have no humility or the honesty you speak so much of. You're arrogant and you are rude.

  Crazy151drinker,

  The whole purpose of labeling Bible writers as sheep herders is to demean their intelligence. Surely they fail in this to use Moses as an example. Caling Moses a sheepherders is like calling Ben Cartwright of the Ponderosa a cow herders. Certainly a way of demeaning someone in a way that is not merited.

  Zechariah, since most bible writers aren't positively identified how do you know they were "educated"?

  Most people of times past that could read and write period were considered educated.

  You have kings, princes of nations and master architects, high ranking government officials, doctors, etc.

  Thats good evidence.

  What evidence is anybody relying on that any bible writer wer goat herders as a occupation?

  Is not it even sadder that people believe the problem with JWs is their belief in God. They become willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

  The baby is the only thing of value in the whole thing. It represents appropriately here at Christmastime Jesus Christ or belief in God. We have to have the good sense to recognize that and find some fresh unpolluted water to rejuvenate our faith.

  If we throw the baby out we will mourn him the rest of our lives.

  Jesus definately would agree with me.

  I'm no dummy and I know a lot of things but it is not what I know I treasure but that I have the gift of wisdom the Spirit grants me to properly percieve and understand whatever little I know.

  I don't rely on worldly education. All the important things about faith and God can be easily understood by anyone of any education. No one needs any education to know whether God exists. Unbelievers disbelief is only a biased opinion based on fear of trust. It has nothing to do with the intellect.

  It has everything to do with ones willingness to believe.

  Jesus was disgusted with the false pride of the educated who denied him and tried to bolster their opinions with claims of superior intellect. I take similar pride in not being understood by people like this and being called a fool and mad.

  The wisdom of the world is foolishness with God. I appreciate that scripture more and more in this debate about belief on this board.

  astral projection

  i was wondering if anyone has dabbled in astral projection.

  i have been doing it recently and it has been really amazing.

  there is so much that we dont know about as humans.

  I have accomplished it on two occasions for short periods following a procedure in a book called "You are psychic" as well a Sylvia Brpwne book that speaks about it.

  The reason I believe most people can't achieve this is because it requires a great amount of faith that you have protection in the world of the spirit so that you can allow your spirit to depart.
  Otherwise it would be very sary maybe even traumatic for one to indulge in. This is especially true is one is condition by the WTS that all communication with the spirit world is demonism. Belief in God and his protection is essential I think to harmless astral travel.

  I have not attempted it for a longtime but am desirous of honing the ability to acheive it at will.

  Certainly these expeiences have cemented my belief that we are physically embodied spirit creatures. Lucid dreams I have experienced quite a lot but not lately. I am anxious now to get back to it.
