please notice that i did not say "to imply that the "idea" is scriptual, but the "practice".

" jerusalem" here refers not to literal jerusalem, though you wouldn't know it from reading luke if the wt hadn't told you, but actually refers to "spiritual" or symbolic jerusalem..so the trampling should stop in 1914.well.....according to them(wt) the trampling does but it doesn't.. rev11:2....they holy city will be trampled on underfoot for 42 months....this is from 1914-1918...so the trampling of jerusalem stops in 1914, but at the same time also continues past 1914 to 1918 according to the wt.....what do the witnesses or russelites do during this peroid, well its supposed to be a peroid of persecution, thats why jerusalem is trampled...well, it must have been some peroid of persecution because while all this trampling is going on they are doing this:.

Yeah, well after this 3 and a half years of persecution from OCT 1914 to APR 1918 the BEAST THAT ASCENDS OUT OF THE ABYSS SHALL MAKE WAR WITH THEM AND KILL THE 2 WITNESSES.....this is refering to when ministers of the WTBTS are imprisioned in 1918 to 1919...for 3 and a half days, which is not literal as is the 42 months? figure that!.The beast that wars with them, that comes out of the abyss...well that isnt the beast of REV 17:8 that carries the Harlot and ASCENDS OUT OF THE ABYSS and goes off into destruction, its Not The League of Nations/the United Nations formed in 1920...thats 1920, because for obvious reasons something created in 1920 cant persecute someone in 1918.So the creature that ascends out of the abyss is actually some other horned beast that comes out of the sea, even though the one that comes out of the abyss would seem like a better choice.Its the horny wild beast that comes out of the sea.....sea really meaning abyss in WT language, thats persecutes the WTBTS.I mean its just so obvious, it all makes perfect sense eh!

When it comes to morality and ethics, i just read Neitzsche.Dont go much Theologians, or metaphysics and stuff.
JH absolutely refuses to reconcile the concept of a loving God with all the evil and suffering around.Me, i'm not so sure, the issue doesn't bother me much, it's a bit of a red herring in the end to me.
DUb logic on the issue however, is less than adequate... thats if your looking for answers to the problem of evil and suffering. -

Actually they were arguing over "whether God has defined Good"....JH is an atheist and Friend obviously a believer, so theres a mix right there.

Friends wandered off i feel...Last time i checked he was debating with this guy called JH over at H20...neither one wanted to back down, they are 2 peas in a pod...they'd be best of friends if they weren't on opposing sides.Both get off on legalistic debate.Both seem to be fighting for their faith, and wont give an inch.

Myself, i'm just not sure about the bible anymore...I've just started reading too much stuff thats critical of it.I dont about Christian ethics or just looking to the bible as a sole source of guidance in life.I dont how i started taking JW's seriously, dont know how that happened...i always hated church, read the bible a little and believed in god more or less, but hate church.I wouldn't have lasted very long if ever became baptised Dub...I like thinking for myself, i like challenging ideas and for me to just hold the bible up as the ultimate source of truth just goes against that idea.SO....i'm not Christian, i cant give mayself a label.I dont know if God is real or just a little voice inside me head.I dont know Jesus was really the son of God or just an archetypal image of the self (your've read a little Jung i think?, in that case probably understand that load of BS)....you know, just A reflection of an inner ideal thats comes up in all forms in all societies with Buddha and Mohammad etc.The bible as the inspired word of God, i dont know either.All i know is that Jesus was a radical, a thinker himself, a revolutionary maybe, he said some wise stuff that i really like.....but other than that, the bible, especially the OT is just off the show, useless to me.....i mean, who cares who begat who and whether you should eat milk with pork or whatever.Who cares about where you go when you die and who gets resurrected when and at what time....and all those horned wilded beasts and stuff, and whos who....and the king of the North, who gives a flip.Wisdom is where its at and you can forget the rest as far as i'm concerned.I've been on too much of an atheist trip lately....its no good for me health, again , who cares whether you can prove God exists or why he allows the suffering in the world....and wether evolution really happened, it just doesn't matter.????...I believe in a personnal God, thats inside me.....dont understand what it is, or if it has any basis in reality, i just dont care...i'm burnt out trying to prove stuff to myself.My ethics are at odds with Christian ethics at times.You know, i have no problem with Sex before marriage and Homosexuality doesn't really get me outraged and stuff...and i hate church period, so i dont know why i bother with all this religious stuff.I just have too many doubts now.....I was never into that Armageddon stuff the WT put out either, condemning everyone...i just took it for granted that God would be fair and give everyone more than a fair go, of which Hellfire and brimstone just dont add up to.Ride a dirt bike....thats about it, Yep?
