  i`ve just read a post on h20 by "dmouse" re the circuit assembly at dudley, england.

  apparently there were only 3 baptised there this weekend, but that is not what intrigues me; my devious apostate mind (hee hee) sees another way of making some luvverly lolly!.

  Cant say born, but raised anyway in the "truth". Out of my family,
  I think I could safely say the only one regularly attending.
  Married, {still} was m/servant decided wasn't for me, {along with a couple other reasons} stepped down. {That story will put grins on alot of faces, I'll post it at a more appropriate time :-) } Have heard of these "boards" and as always, following the "advice" of the f&d slave, stayed away. But after a very good friend {a sweetheart and she posts here also, known her all my life} turned me onto a couple of things, I started looking at what y'all had to say. Now I scratch my head and start to think.... Have I been so blind as to not see the obvious? I have to say the reason I started to even look further into what these boards were discussing, had to do with child molestation, and the "cover ups". I read some things and thought...is this really happening? Is this possible? Not being an elder, I really don't know much about what goes on behind those closed doors and what gets accomplished. But rest assured, if I EVER suspected or thought for any reason a sexual deviant was present and doing nasty things to children in my congregation, even though I'm low in the ranks, {very low, almost nonexistant} I would be screaming, demanding something be done. I would not sit still for a minute. I'd call the police. I'd get involved. All you have to do is turn the authorities onto something, they can take it the rest of the way. Sorry I'm ranting. It just really upsets me that this is happening in this organization. So thats why I'm here. thats how I got here, and sorry about any misspellings. I look foward to making new friends here, and I also welcome the new ones as they have so warmly welcomed me.

  Who's Going to the Memorial??

  just wondering..... for those of us who are inactive, or have serious doubts, etc etc... are you going to the memorial, even though you don't fully agree with how they explain things?.

  anyone planning to have their own at home?.

  or are you still planning on going, even if it's to say g'day to long "lost" friends?.

  Egg On Watchtower's Face

  the watchtower pr crew came to paducah last thursday and filmed an interview denouncing the recent media attention given by victims of pedophiles within the organization.

  they thought they were going to be exonerated by the mighty watchtower pr department.

  local witnesses mounted a huge call the television station effort to get them to run the sacred "pr" piece that would give them vindication from the truth.

  my 2 cents...

  before a couple of months ago... i had never heard of this.
  it wasn't till i started visiting forums like this that i became aware of this problem. and to say the least, it has disturbed me since.
  i have not been aware of this going on in my area, but there again, would it be covered up so well that no one would know? very disturbing. i don't watch tv news, but i do listen to "talk" radio on my commute to work, and i have not once heard a peep about any of this. so it has me wondering now....what else is there being handled like this? i'll be keeping my eyes open and my ears peeled from now on.

  oh i understand....
  i did very well with english as a first language, and i'm
  not being critical of anyone, believe me.
  i'm the worst speller and grammer abuser i know, :-)

  and i always wonder everytime i send an email, is it..
  there, their, they're and where DO you put that dang apostrophe thingy anyways?

  ah....
  its the english language. i have been told by people from other countrys that english is very hard for them to learn, i can understand. its hard for us, and we bloody live here :-)

  here is a thought...
  maybe it is so hard for people
  to get the right words and spelling
  because the english language is a hack job.
  seems to me a long time ago when i was learning spanish,
  (because i HAD to) that one thing that i was impressed with
  is that it was reletively simple to spell, and use the right
  words. i can't speak it now, because i really wasn't interested in learning it in the first place. how many mistakes did i make in my grammer? or spelling? shame shame, but as long as i can get my message across, does it really matter?
